Besides making a female type hold the stone while in the daycare so the offspring will have the same nature, no I didn't use it.

I used it once on my Cranidos so i could keep it that way for a while longer till it learned head smash then i evolved it. It was awesome.

Its supposed to evolve at level 25 other than that just make sure it isn't holding a Everstone but if it isn't I don't know why it won't evolve.
