http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...c7orx/1232.jpg

Notes I:

-Whirl wind was displayed.
-New class: Witch Doctor.
-All classes can be played as a male or female
-Updated graphics with a new Havok physics system
-There will be 5 classes. Two were already shown. The Barbarian and the Witch Doctor.
-Random environments.
-The player will see familiar locations (Tristram) and faces.
-The multiplayer portion of the game will be played over Battle.net.
-No release date has been set.

(Summarized from the official FAQ and Video presentation)

Notes II:

-New "hotbar" skill system for easier access to skills.
-Potions are still present, but you can also pick up health globes from defeated monsters.
-There is no more potion belt.
-New loot system: Each player sees one unique drop per monster (Similar to Hell Gate London). Only the player will see that drop and no one else. (eliminates item grabbers).
-Diablo 3 will use a new and more secure Battle.net for the online portion of the game.

(Summarized from dev conference)

Story:

"It has been twenty years since the events of Diablo II. Of those who faced the Lords of Hatred, Terror, and Destruction in the battle over the fate of Sanctuary, there are few still living who can bear to remember the horrors that the Prime Evils wrought upon the world. And of those who did not witness the terrible events firsthand, most believe the stories to be little more than myth. But something evil is stirring once again in Tristram, and it may already have claimed its first victim: Deckard Cain."

Video and Additional Screens:

There is an official website with a video and more screens:

Diablo III

I liked playing Diablo II when I had it. If I can get my computer to play this, it should be fun.

Yeah, went straight to the Diablo website. Watched the trailer and the gameplay.

I was wondering if it was an MMO, but I see you can multiplayer it up with friends anyway, so that's cool enough for me.

I doubt it would be an MMO considering Blizzard is still riding the WoW Express to Moneyville.

It looks amazing.

Also, huge ****ing Balroug.

The Gameplay looks fun and shiny.

I wonder if the shitty "If you don't play your character for 30 days, it'll be deleted" will be in affect.

Yeah seriously, Diablo 2 pretty much set me into gaming. I've played it for years and it looks like it'll be the same for this game. Probably the best sequel i'll be looking foward too.

It was obvious from the begining of the week that Diablo III was going to be announced. Still, this game could get me back in PC gaming.

I wonder how much of a pain in the ass it will be to get it running fairly well on a computer?

That is the main reason, I stopped playing D2.. I worked too hard on my characters, and just because I don't play for 90days they delete it..

Square-Enix did the same shit with FFXI..
