Smile The PSP

Hey there everyone!!

I am considering purchasing the PSP; since there will be a KH game coming out for it I'll eventually have to get one, as well as the fact that I have heard great things about FFVII: CC and Id like to play that as well.

Does anyone have any complaints about the PSP? What do you believe to be the pros and cons? How is the screen visibility? Are subtitles easily readable? And what are some of the best games for the PSP, in your opinion?

Thank you for your time!! Any comments and opinions about the console and games are really appreciated!!

Had mine for years now, and although there was a bit of a game shortage at the beginning, it's turned into an established handheld.

Its not the best system out there but its fairly well to provide hours of entertaining during car rides, etc.
Good purchase.

I've been thinking of getting one for FF: Crisis Core. Also, my family goes on alot of road trips so I think it would be useful. My friend has one, depending on the game it has moderate graphics. Games such as CC will probably have graphics compared to the PS2 type. I am just guessing about that though after seeing my friend's PSP.

OMFG I LOVE YOUR ICON!!!!!!! I have two dogs that look JUST LIKE THAT ONE LOL.

Im gonna probably get one this summer, if I get a job. But yeah. Any games that are really fun for it? Ive also read on craigslist (from people trying to sell theres) that some include "500" games all on one memory card. Does anyone know what these games are? Im assuming theyre ripped but I didnt know from where and what kind you can get for the PSP.

I think these are firmware games.

The PSP has a lot of cool options, applications, etc. in it.

It's not only for gaming, you can watch movies, see pictures, hear music in it.

You can upload pictures to your memory stick or plug a camera with a PSP.
You can buy UMDs containing movies, music, etc.
The PSP has Internet, you can go to the internet from wherever you are.
When you insert a game UMD,it will give you a system update(Example,FF tactics:war of the lions updates the sytem to 3.51)

The games I would recommend:

Daxter
Need for Speed carbon:own the city
Final Fantasy Tactics:war of the lions
Ratchet and Clank:Size matters.

There are many great games on the PSP.

Overall, the PSP is a great handheld.

The PSP allows you to access the Playstation Store and purchase downloadable games. Some people also create their own games and store it on a PSP memory stick to play on the PSP. Thats how they have 500 games on it.

Recommendations:
FF:CC
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters
Jeanna D'Arc

P.S.
I had mine since launch.

PSP is a great handheld system. Definitely buy it. I've had mine for 2 and a half years, and the only problems I have with it are that in certain games (mainly the older ones), the brightness is not high enough. Also the sound doesnt get very loud like say iPod but you can get boosters or a big headset.

I'd recommend Tekken Dark Resurrection. I loved the gameplay and loading times are quick, plus you can play via wireless on 2 PSPs with just one copy of the game. It kept me entertained for a year. I also liked Crisis Core, Gurumin, and Tales of Eternia.

yeah I was concerned that perhaps the screen wouldnt be bright enough to see clearly; also how well the subtitles look on it (for FFCC for example). Is the sound that big of a problem? I dont mind at all having to use like, ipod earphones to hear the sound, if that works.

You can make your own kinds of games/dl games? Do you have to pay for them/pay to make them?
What kind of games can you make?

You can only dl games by getting Custom Firmware, and it's free to get it, unless you don't want to risk opening up your battery then you'd buy one called a Datel Tool. And I don't really know if you can make games, if you can I've never tried.

And the PSPs sound is okay, I just use ipod earphones because it sounds better.
