I really think that once Insomniac stopped doing Spyro, it should've been ended. I'm hating watching it become a vacuum for profits.

Just like how Kingdom Hearts is a cash cow?

As for the Spyro game, it's nice to see developers still care about the purple dragon, but lets not kid ourselves, it's going to flop. Spyro died when Crash Bandicoot died.

Did Square Enix sell KH after it started to get good? No.

All PS2 Spyro games up until this current trilogy were actually made of fail. The developers grew acres of fail in the backyard of their studio and just shoved it onto a few game discs.

The new trilogy really hasn't been as god awful as the previous installments. I've played the second one, but my brother and ... mother... are really into the series and have played them all. This game actually looks promising from the stills that they've shown. Seriously though they need to grow a pair and simply develop a Spyro game for ONE damned system. How can they put out the same game for the 360,PS3, Wii, PS2, AND the DS? Come now, that's just not smart. It means they have to dumb down the game that they'd like to make in order for it to work on multiple platforms. I'm mostly talking about the PS2, since clearly the DS version will be made of the leftover fail they have lying around.

Though the series isn't anywhere near the original 3 games, it's still... decent... i guess. This game might be good, since they took a few steps in the right direction (Free flight/Co-Op) but they still clearly don't know what they're doing (Co-Op doesn't work online) in some aspects. Ah well, good luck Spyro.

You mean to say that Square Enix is actually making the games for the fans, and not for the money? i lol'd... HARD.

IMO; after the second Spyro game on the PSX, they sucked. The first one was pretty great too. But Year of the Dragon was a joke.

As for the DS, i never thought that Spyro or Crash made for fun portable experiences...except for racing.

Edit: Fine then. Don't buy any of the new ones. As long as they keep making GOOD, FULL, QUALITY games, I'll buy them.

And Year of the Dragon may not have been my favorite, but I got the most play time outta it.

The spirit of Spyro left with Insomniac.

They need to stop screwing with the basics.
Spyro is not co-op with shitty friends.
Spyro is not a kung-fu fighter.
Spyro is not supposed to be "grown up", he's supposed to be a kick-ass little dragon.
He's a platformer.
And if he's going to be flying all the time, then that defeats all purpose of a platformer.

in b4 flops? Spyro games are gonna go on like a bad horror film series, the first few games were good, some decent, but in the over-all run the series never was very good. It was a new form of game play at the time, now it's just out-dated and they're looking for a way to milk the cow..err; dragon for all it's worth.

Though I agree, they should get rid of the help Spyro got in the later games, like the boxing kangaroo, the penguin or whatever, the cheetah that had the surf dude attitude... go back to the first Spyro, play that, get some ideas off of it.

First Spyro was quite kick-ass, mainly because of PlayStation's reputation back in the late 90's. Also, who could go past it's musical award for brilliant music composer Stewart Copeland? Somethings just can't be replaced!
