| Rest Now My Friend... | Just a progress report of sorts on my quest to obtain the Big Boss Emblem. I am currently at the beginning of Act 4 and my time so far is 2:20:09 The end of the 3rd act is horribly difficult, but I will tell you one thing. Lock On is your best friend. Also I'm saving just before each B&B boss battle as so I can make vids of their battles on youtube and so i can go back and battle them anytime i feel like it instead of playing through the whole game. EDIT: I just beat Crying Wolf and entered the room after her boss battle. My current time now is 2:44:10 Considering my time before i fought her was 2:28:30 I'd say a 16 minute boss battle it's too bad, I could've done a lot better because i underestimated the fact that she'd see me before i saw her so as a result i took a couple of Rail Gun shots but nothing life threatening, funny thing is I didn't get spotted by a single Frog and i beat her on my first play through on The Boss Extreme Last edited by ╬ProperArtist╬; 06/27/08 at 09:12 AM. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | So far this is my second play through of Boss Extreme. First time through I did not get the emblem, but now I'm going for it. I think I messed up though, I spent too much time on fighting the Haven Troopers and defeating them non lethally. So upon starting Act 2, my time is 1:37. I'm in big trouble. |

The first two acts are the most time consuming. I finished acts 3, 4, and 5 in a 8 hour time span, all cutscenes and Codec conversations included. And throw in some farming for DP. I remember speedrunning through act 4. RPG>>>>>>>Crying Wolf.

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | I've actually tried to get the emblem about 3 times, but I would mess up so badly that I would to start all over. I finally am finished with Act 1, I finished it in 43 minutes, now comes the hard part of Act 2 in the beginning part. |

I hate to say it but yah you are in some trouble if you're trying to get the Big Boss Emblem. When i got to Laughing Octopus for the boss battle my time was 1:17:49 So you're about 20 minutes behind me and you have yet to get through most of the stage considering my total time at the beginning of Act 2 was 0:47:13 I'd start over. Watch The Big Boss walkthroughs on youtube or go to Gamefaqs and read some guides. But in all honesty I would start over if i were you the Big Boss Emblem is pretty much a lost cause now. Considering Act 3 will pretty much take up about 20-30 minutes of your time that's not including the Last chase sequence or the Boss Battle (which the Raging Raven boss battle was only 5 minutes tops for me considering two Rail Gun shots kill her relatively easily) Just some advice

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Yeah, I would advise the same thing, it took me some time to get past the first part of Act 2, but thanks to Oogie's advice I made it faster than before. You may want to take some time in a couple of parts but not too much time. Now, all I have to do is follow the footprints of Naomi and the PMCs and I am done with Act 2. My time before I beat Octopus was 1:19:34 and after I beat her now it is 1:28:12. Last edited by Neo; 06/27/08 at 11:40 PM. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Ehh. I was afraid of that. Oh well, I'll do it again. I have two Ending saves anyway from my last play through. Even on Boss Extreme, I charged the Rail Gun to fully charged and killed her in one shot. I just ran to the top of the tower, charged it up all the way and waited until she circled right in front of my auto aim, and boom, dead in one hit. It seems she stays at the middle level for a while looking for you. |

| Rest Now My Friend... | I would've gone up to the top and sniped her with the Rail Gun, but my health was low after the whole sat in the corner and let myself heal for a second, by that time i could see her flying past the window so I took out my snipe and popped her. Then she spotted me and i layed to Rail Gun shots into her and the battle was over. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | It must have been from the motor cycle chase. Too bad the Rail Gun fully charged does not knock Vamp in a second. Found that out the hard way. Still, 25% damage was not bad, but getting hits off him effectively is going to be rare with the Rail Gun. |

| Rest Now My Friend... | Pffttt that's why i used the Solar Gun. 1 shot with that gun takes his stamina completely down which makes the battle last upwards to 20 secs if that. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Yay, I am almost near the bike chase part, I think I need to more areas to follow the resistance guy before I get to the bike part. I think my time so far is 1:39 or something, can't remember exactly. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Well, I'm pretty new to the MGS series. I've know about it for years since I was a child, but I never thought to buy the game. When I heard about the Essencials Collection, I jumped right on that...Well, I tried to. It was sold out at the stores I went to, until about four weeks ago, a miracle was granted to me and I saw it. I bought it and I am sad there is no disk two to MGS3, but that is okay! I have the first three MGS games! But I suck at games like this, but I don't care because I'd rather fail at MGS, but be able to play though it's story. Now to get a PS3 and buy MGS4. |
