Meh, not really. I play in the Vamp: Beginner lobby, so I generally get people around my level (intermediate). Just go there and play. Not a TON of people snipe in most rooms (I do sometimes; it's fun XD), so you can be safe with using the M4, MK 17, or XM8. I personally hate the XM8, but yeah. Most people seem to love it.

| Raping the Willing since 2006 | I was wondering how the hell do you even level up in MGO. I been playing it trying to grow on it but still feel that its second rate when compared to other shooters on the PS3 that has online. |

| 231 | You guys are so quick to judge, it's only been out a week. I'm pretty sure you just have to play enough. Like ranks with Halo or whatever. . . |

| Raping the Willing since 2006 | Well i think that it is alittle better than when i started but its not nearly on par with something like Warhawk which you tend to be the saw way if you dont use vehicles. Also how the hell do you level up????? This is the most confussing part of MGO. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Okay, I'm stuck. I am playing The Boss Extreme, trying to get the big boss emblem, but the game is disallowing me from buying ammo for my anesthetic weapons, such as the mosin nagant, MK 22, and stun grenade. This is especially inconvenient and frustrating because I can buy ammo for absolutely every other weapon besides those and I need to get through the game without a single kill to get the emblem. So please, help me out. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | ^That's the beauty of Boss Extreme. You can't purchase non lethal ammo or weaponry. The only other alternative, is to avoid being seen at all costs. But then again, the boss fights.lol But I'm not playing for the Big Boss emblem yet, I'm just trying to get a better feel for Boss Extreme difficulty before I replay that difficulty and get the emblem. Back on topic, anyway to get non lethal ammo or weaponry, you'll have to either find it (which I find is impossible) or hold up enemies and make them drop the non lethal weaponry. I don't know if I found the ammo or not, but once you complete an Act, some of your non lethal weaponry returns to your ammunition stock. Well that was what I've gathered. But I could have also found some while I was just randomly picking up items, so basically, just keep your eyes open and try not to waste all of your non lethal weaponry, it is very hard to come by and you will be stuck.lol |

| SHHHHHH MINDFREAK! | There are several areas that Ammo for your MK. 2 and Moisin Nagant(that i know of) In Act 2 after taking out the PMC at the beginning and got the Militia on your side(if you chose to rather than sneaking around them) when you reach the second area where the Militia are all gathered by rocks there will be a small hole by those rocks. Crawl in and you will find MK. 2 ammo During the battle with Laughing Octopus there's a supply of Stun grenades under a table. I believe it's in the same area you start when you have to take on the Frogs that are looking for you before you can engage Laughing Octopus After you defeat Laughing Octopus and begin your hunt for Naomi by tracking her footprints. Instead of heading down the valley turn around and head back to Lab in which you fought Laughing Octopus not several minutes earlier. The Ammo should be right outside. When you're in the last area in the search for Naomi after tranquilizing the first guy hiding behind a rock (there's a C4 mine right in front of him you can't miss him. This is right after you pass the Frogs in the area) run to the North crouch and take out MarkII an run up to the cliff ahead of you and you'll pick up some Stun Ammo. In Act 3 after Defeating Raging Raven run upstairs to the second floor (i believe it is) and you will find Moisin Nagant and Mk 2 ammo. During Act 4 after you defeat Crying Wolf's beasts form run in the opposite direction of her beauty form down into that little walk way and in one of the corners is some Mk 22 ammo. Of course since she follows you you can take the opportunity use the Moisin Nagant her while she's walking towards you. In the last area of Shadow Mosses right before you get to the final door, after sneaking around the first Rolly Polly droid run up the stairs and there is ammo for all your none lethal items I believe (not sure on that) :Tips: Give Away any Health Recovery Items to Militia Members. They love you which means you don't have to dawn the disguise after a while. Depending on how much you give away they'll give you items in return like Ipod Songs or ammo. If you're really low on health make sure to lay flat your health will regenerate slowly (of course most of you probably already knew this) Sneak as much as possible, unless you absolutely have to tranq an enemy it's much more beneficial for you to sneak right pass them. Your less likely to go into a caution phase which can make it harder for you to reach the next area depending on whether or not they send for reinforcements. Use the Mark II Whenever possible. It saves precious ammo and gives the same effect as a Non-lethal round shot to the head. Just be sure you stay behind the desired target and stay camo'd If you're playing threw the second time and have the Solar Gun. USE IT! It's pretty much got unlimited ammo, however in Act 3 and Act 4 you can't use the sun to recharge it. During Act 1 if you run low or out of Mk 2 ammo while fighting the Frogs (I personally just ran around Shocking people with Metal Gear II) if you walk up to Johnny/Akiba he'll give you more ammo for it. In Act 2 right before you fight Laughing Octopus, while the Frogs are looking for you. Hide under the bed that is just to your immediate right. Summon the Mark II and run around shocking all the Frogs. As always make sure you stay behind them when you're about to knock them out as to not be spotted. However you could just wait for the groups of two to run right into the door way in front of you and fling a Stun Grenade knocking them out. It should take about 5 to do the trick or you could go the route of tranquilizing each one as they walk by. During Act 3 while following the Contact. Dawn the Otacon face camo. This allows you to run around and even walk right up to the guards without causing an Alert. If you do use this camo make sure not to pump into any guards, it automatically sets off an alert, however you can walk right up to them and they won't do anything as long as you don't touch them (unless you're CQCing). This is extremely helpful for the last area of this sequence considering you don't have to hide from Search Team that rides around in the jeep. Also you save precious MK 2, Stun Grenade, and Moisin Nagant ammo considering the contact is dawning the PMC disguise you don't have to stun anyone in his way. During Act 4 after you've defeated Crying Beauty throw a Chaff grenade which allows you easily bypass all the Rolly Polly bots. That's all the info I have for the time being. Rep Power: 5 ![]() | ^Nice. You did your homework. I gave up on getting the Big Boss emblem, one of the reasons was Act 3.lol Stupid patrol vehicle, I downed it with an RPG, bastard can't come after me if its in shambles.lol Still no alert though, which made it nice. |

Wait how is that Not a kill considering it's a manned vehicle right? Another tid bit is that if you don't have the Otacon face camo just hide inside a barrel as the jeep passes by. Of course you'll still have to knock people out to get pass them. During the Motorcycle chase sequence auto aim works wonders when trying to take out enemies. My weapon of choice would honestly be the Shotgun with V ring ammo. Since you have unlimited ammo here don't hold back. Stun grenades work wonders as well.
