I mean, it's fantastic to see that they've added new stuff to the game after so long, but uh.. it's a little late. People wanted trophies like 3-4 years ago.
~check out the voice acting group i'm a part of's videos!~

I hope not. I remember a few patched games that awarded trophies retroactively, but their was one big one (I think it was Uncharted, but I'm not positive) that did not.
I mean yeah it would be great to have another reason to relive this game, but as I and many others have said before:
This game came out in 2008

Metal Gear Solid 4 Patch Includes Full Install Support -- Andriasang.com
Kojima Productions has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4's upcoming patch will include not just Trophy support but full install functionality as well.
While the Trophy support was confirmed earlier, the wording at the official site suggested that the install functionality would be limited to the game's package re-release. This is not the case.
Select to give the game a full install, and you won't have to wait between chapters for data to be cached to your system's hard disc. This lengthy caching, which was accompanied by an image of Solid Snake smoking, was a major complaint by players.
The budget re-release that includes the new functionality by default will be released in early August. The patch for current owners will also be offered around this time.
How the diddly do you beat Liquid in the Hind D without the radar? I can't even find the bastard until he's already shooting at me. I looked up a video online and the guy seems like he just inherently knows where Liquid's gonna be.

Use the tracking system of the Stinger scope to spot his movements; you want to know where he'll be before you attack him. You should be able to gauge where he'll be and how you should go on the offensive and when you should go on the defensive. Some of it also comes down to memorizing the pattern of his attacks, how well you use cover, and your ability to stick and move (fire, then un-select, and move-rinse repeat).

60(?) FPS version looks phenomenal. Butter smooth gameplay, flashy with substance, can't wait.
Youtube limits the framerate. Typically you're never looking at 60 FPS.
Could've said so from the start; if you downloaded, it should be 60 FPS.
Gamestop has place holders for 2/2/13. I'm going to guess Rising won't be out till April or May
