I actually disliked Diddy a lot at first, but he's a lot smoother than I thought. Also my opponents can't help but to constantly slip on the same peel like 50 times in a row. He's a lot better than I originally thought.

Yeah that was a good video, it really inspired me to try my own run. I had already done speed runs of Target Test 1 and 2, but I was taking a break before tackling 3 & 4 & 5, but your vid showed me a good basis for how to take on Stage 5, so that helped me a lot xD

Using your route as a base, my record for Stage 5 is now 12.46 seconds

So, an epic broken technique has been found in Brawl.

Two people discovered it within 30 minutes of eachother xD

"I was just screwing around in a few matches with my friends yesterday and while using Toon Link I survived DDD's forward smash at 189%...

If most of you haven't already noticed you can get out of the "tumbling to your doom" animation by air dodging shortly after.

With Toon Link ( and I'm assuming any character that can tether out of an air dodge ) , if you air dodge and tether immediately after getting hit by a strong attack, while DIing toward the edge you just instantly tether and kinda "whiplash" to the edge!

after trying this a few more times I even got it to work in sudden death

and ALSO the ability to tether while airdodging, I found an awesome recovery tech.


So I was playing on all star intense, on the halbred in the Kirby-Meta-Dedede bit.

I'd killed Metaknight, and it was just me and Kirby.

All of a sudden, kirby pitfall trapped me, and I thought for sure I was doomed (over 100%) and he was preparing a side smash. It hit me squarely in the face, and I DI'd downwards to (hopefully) reduce some of the knockback.

What happened next boggles the mind.

I was going really REALLY fast, definitely going to die, when I airdodged and pressed A,
and WTF I just snapped to the ledge like nothing happened. I then proceeded to own Kirby and
make Dedede cry.

Do you think Smash DI airdodge tether (DIAT?) could become useful in competitive play?"

Apparently only works with characters (obviously) who can tether-recover.

I actually don't mind this, it's a good advantage to the Tether Recovery characters as compensation to the fact that their Tether Recovery is gimped by edgehogging and you can hardly do anything to prevent it <.< (a reason why even though I love Olimar, it's hard to accept how much of a glaring weakness it is v_v)
