Skip the port forwarding part. It does nothing for Wii since it uses no incoming ports. The best way to improve connection speed is to change your wireless channel to 1 or 11, actually. And like I said before, the servers were down for maintenance.

The lag has nothing to do with the servers. It's who you're connected to. All the Nintendo WFC does is pair you with players, then you take the brunt of the connection.

ff x2 was a continuation for ff x, it's totally different (the story wasn't girly)

True, some people would insult you for playing as Zelda or Peach. Which is stupid, since both of them are pretty good. Zelda, for one, is awesome.
