And if you think of it in terms of unique movesets, Brawl is bringing more to the table than Melee did. Melee had 26 characters, but taking out clones, Melee was 20 total unique movesets to choose from. Brawl is, hypothetically, 35 characters...with Pokemon Trainer bringing 3 pokemon, Samus with ZSS, and Zelda with Sheik, Brawl is a total of 39 unique movesets to choose from.

Why? It may not be what we wanted, but it is still a GREAT roster in terms of AWESOME characters to play as.

I dont think thats it because if im not mistaken all those characters was unlocked in SSE and Sakurai said the majority of the characters, not all, will be unlocked in SSE.

Marth, Sonic, Jigglypuff, and Windwaker Link weren't unlocked in SSE. They completed SSE and haven't gotten Wolf yet, so chances are he's unlocked outside of SSE

Game and Watch, Falco, Ganondorf, Lucario, R.O.B, Snake, Ness and Captain Falcon were

So, SSE: 8, not SSE: 5
