Fox's/Falco's reflectors can be cheap I guess, but most people I see don't use them that much.

Jigglypuff's Rest move is arguably the most powerful move (killing anything in one hit), but it really doesn't do that much damage-wise. Roy's Flare Sword KO's in one hit if fully charged, and about 35-40% if not (plus 10% to himself). Mr. Game & Watch's Judgement does roughly 35% at best, if the number is 9. Bowser's side-smash fully charged does a whopping 40% damage, so Bowser wins the smash move category. Ganondorf's Warlock Punch does roughly 40% damage, and his mirror image's about 25-30%.

Hmm. Too close to call, methinks.

Obvioulsy you and I have different ideas as to what makes something powerful.

In terms of raw damage, Bower takes the cake, but Gannondorf isn't too far behind him.

yep i gotta agree with bowser and gannondorf but if your really good with the rolling dodge then falco will kick ass. works for me every time :D (fox would work too)

But we're still talking about how much damage the characters give, not how much they can own. Read your sig.

Oooo... Yum, Yum...

There's only one trophy left I need to get. Diskun I think it's called, you need to get all those special bouns point rewards at the end of a battle. I couldn't be bothered in the end...

Hmm. I don't think that we should just restrict this thread to just Melee, I'm a little deprived of Melee right now. So I'll talk about the original, since I'm borrowing a friend's N64.

Favorite characters: Ness/Captain Falcon

Ness is a powerhouse. His PK Thunder is slower, so it's easier to recover in this one. There's no PK Flash, so I'm disappointed, but his smashes make up for that. His Yo-yo attacks actually knock people out, and his bat has more knock-back. The PK Thunder Ricochet is EXTREMELY powerful, and his throws are powerful.

Captain Falcon kicks arse. The Falcon Punch is still a force to be dealt with, and now it can used to help with recovery, because it gets a little horizontal distance. He's the fastest character in this game, so he can dodge pretty well.

I'm still disappointed that there are no side+B moves, but oh well.
