Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | ![]() ![]() ![]() Pretty much, since Fallout 3 is about... 'Fallout 3' and not about the original [and I tried sparking a discussion for the original, but it just reverts back to Fallout 3], I decided to start a Fallout topic, dedicated to Fallout 1 and 2. Throw in Tactics if you must. I'm playing Fallout 1 and loving it immensely. |

| Don't be afraid to go too low | Own the first two, but I've always been distracted by other games. |

| Nobody | When i played Fallout 1 and 2 as a kid, i nearly shit bricks. It has SUCH a better plot and backstory. I am STILL to this day very addicted to these games. |

| Premium Member....or am I? | To each his own I guess. I managed to download fallout 2, played through a chunk of it. It was fun. I just haven't finished it yet, due to losing all the info on my hardrive. I'll attempt again soon, since it does have such a high cult-like following. That intrigues me. Also, Obsidian is developing the Fallout: New Vegas game apparently, but they're using the same gameplay and style as Fallout 3. Mix of old and new I guess. What do you think of that? |

| Nobody | I don't know, i LOVED Fallout 1 and 2, and Fallout 3 was honestly pretty good, but too much of a stray from the originals. If they can get the feel of 1 &2 into the Fallout 3 gameplay, that would probably be the best game ever made. |

On topic though most huge follwers of the first two games had a problem with F3, its like that with lots of things though. I never played them so it wasn't a problem that said I do get why people don't like it. that big of a departure after all this time is due to be a doozy.

I played through enough to understand why followers of the first two might not be fans of 3. Really, I think if Fallout 3 wasn't called Fallout "3", and wasn't associated like that with 1 and 2, people who liked the first ones might not have viewed it so negatively. Overall, I think fallout 3 is an awesome game by itself and personally, I love it. But I can totally understand the disappointment of it after 1 and 2. That's why I need to try and play through the rest of 'em.

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | Square-Ninja, the changes isn't the problem for me. It's that Fallout 3, whilst it got me into the series as it was my first Fallout game, is the weakest of the series for me. A lot of the town's backstory didn't make sense [then again, neither did New Reno in Fallout 2], VATs is seriously overpowered, not a lot of diplomatic decisions and it's just dwindle down to the 'Good vs. Evil' decision being served on a Silver Plate. The best mission that really is awesome is the fact that you can side with the Ghouls or Tenpenny Citizen and in the end, it boarded on the morally grey, if almost evil. Also, I've seen quite a few Fallout packs in my country. And even then, you can order them online. |

Rep Power: 2 ![]() Level: EXP: | No, shitty Britain, sadly. Also, I give up on Fallout for now. My character have turn from a literate guy who can form sentences into one that cannot even say a proper word anymore. It's 'Derp' or 'Augh' now and no one will speak to me. I blame Radiation for that, which has a bigger effect. |
