Help

I recently got an Xbox and I want to update it. It's an old Pro, so it has the old dashboard. I am connecting it through an Ethernet cable onto my sister's laptop which is connected to a Linksys router wirelessly. The connection test went good, but when I try to update it, the progress bar stays in the same place for about 8 minutes, and then it says "cannot download update". I already went to the Xbox support site and it didn't help at all. I was hoping one of you could help, thanks.

EDIT: I used the update from the site, the one you put on a USB stick. It's all good.
