I wasn't saying chemicals are soluble in water.
Because the water doesn't filter everything what's in the tobacco and because fruittobacco has the same chemicals as cigarette tobacco it's still as dangerous as smoking a cigarette. Usually a shisha session lasts for about an hour, but what I meant to say was that when you smoke it by yourself you will get the same amount of smoke as smoking 60-80 cigarettes. Excuse me for making this mistake.
When smoking shisha you will inhale more smoke, and because the smoke is cool you tend to inhale deeper than when you smoke a cigarette. When adding tea to the waterreservoir you will reduce a small amount of chemicals entering your body.

Would it help if I implied *The* chemicals are not soluable in water which would debunk 1 shisha session = 60/80 cigarretes because that couldn't be further from the truth.
To have to directly imply something for a previous statement as a means of correction when the implication should have been directly stated in the first place makes you look stupid. No sarcasm here.

It also doesn't matter what you were implying. You said and I quote, "[c]hemicals are not soluble in water" which couldn't be further from the truth. Choose your words wisely. Not only were you condescending as diddly, you also said something that was completely false in your attempts to label someone else's post as false. How silly.

Smoked a nice blend of chamomile, apple tobacco, and weed in a hookah. Was pretty delicious.

I don't know how people do it. I really don't. I've been accompanying my co-workers during their smoke breaks at work, and afterwards I'm left with this uncomfortable feeling around my solar plexus region. I'm also short of breath and find myself coughing the next morning.

This is just second hand smoke so I don't know how I'd handle first hand...not that I'd ever smoke.

If I remember correctly, people subject to second-hand smoke tend to inhale more than those that do smoke. How true this is, I have no idea. But I understand where you're coming from. The same thing happens to me whenever someone smokes around me at home.

...But then again, I did have near fatal asthma as a child.

Ever since I was in fourth grade Iv been bombarded with "DO not smoke and avoiding drugs" campains in school to the point where it gets really annoying so I never touched the stuff and never will the closes Iv been to smoking is when my mom put a lit cigarette in my ear to relave ear pain and suck out trapped air (it actually works).

I know that my high school has a lot of scumbag kids who smoke...right by my school...on the sidewalk...right after school like they don't even give a sh*t if they get caught they never will...it really depresses me... Because their just doing it "to be cool" I remember when I had to take my midterms this one kid I was talking with was all sad because he was tense about the test and said "I need a cigarette" in a mopey tone the thought of a 16 year old being addicted to smoking really make me cringe.

Also I hate how some kids on my tennis team go out for a smoke right an away game before the bus ride home. How they despretly shower themselves in ax to get rid of the cent and they have no shame once again it really depresses me seeing today's youth like this

Although I don't really care if adults smoke because for them its legal to smoke just as long its not around me the smell makes me sick.

Im sorry if this offended anyone in any way I just needed to get this off my chest

^I think it's sad, too, even though I smoke myself. It's legal here at age 16 to buy and smoke cigarettes, but when I see kids who are barely 13 years old I'm thinking, what are you doing.. I wish I never started, seriously. But then again I didn't do it just to be cool. My mom has always been a smoker and I was curious about it, so I tried it.
I'm just glad I'm doing good now, cutting back on cigarettes. I used to smoke 7-8-9 a day or so, that's now down to 3-4 a day. Eventually I want to quit completely, but once my mom's ready for it we'll do it together.

I've done it twice when I was really upset a few weeks ago. It left a sickening feeling in my stomach and, while it was good, I didn't exactly enjoy it.I'm glad I haven't picked up the habit.

Waaaant. Seriously, the best combination of stuff I've ever had was weed wrapped in a blunt made from dutches with peach scent and flavoring, and I thought that was amazing.

Smoking's cool, everyone should be doing it. There's absolutely no health risks involved. Jet fuel laced tobacco will put hair on the right places.

Well my mother left her husband of 10 years January last year and she started to smoke because of pressure and what not and said it was her "relief". Her new boyfriend smokes too and now my younger rebellious sister does too.

It so gross, my house smells terrible and I hate inviting people over they're all like 20 cigarettes a day smokers and my Aunt and Uncle are a pack a day smokers and my real father and his wife stopped smoking eight years ago (Probably the best thing he's ever done. -_-) Two of my female cousins smoke and I'm pretty sure all my male cousins do.

My family is full of smokers and none of them can do it around me because I just break out into coughs 'cause I can't stand it.

My town is a very bad area of New South Wales (Australia), You see young smokers walk around the main street sharing a smoke with a six year old sibling and nothing gets done about it, it's sick and just wrong. And when half of your school goes around selling and buying smokes from each other and much more. *Sigh* The world is screwed.

But it's a lifestyle choice and it's not mine... if you choose to smoke, what ever.

Are any of you so anti-smoking that you would discard anything that I had to say based on a lifestyle choice I make that I avoid being obnoxious around other people with? I know more than one person that thinks this way and won't treat me like a human being and I find it to be absolutely ridiculous.

Actually we had a discussion with a person with the same thoughts on this a few pages back. In my opinion you should treat others like you want to be treated.

It makes no difference what you do, everyone should be treated the same.

To me, smoking is really doing self-harm, harming those around you and indirectly hurting your offspring if you choose to have any.
I attend a design's college and a lot of my classmates and seniors, guys and girls, smoke regularly. This seems to be a trend amongst designers/artists alike. So with that said, I think that a big reason that people smoke is basically to look cool and lose weight. The 'pale skin', 'lanky physicality', 'dressed in dark colors', 'rebellious appearance' and 'cigarette in hand' all sorta go together, it's the signature 'designer/artist' look, at least so in my school.
