I'm not going to assume shit since this happened in the South but it's not a judge's job to refuse to marry someone.

One of my best adult friends being black married to a white woman, I would say relationships' odds of lasting have little to do with the race, and more to do with the actual relationship.

That judge should be disbarred lol.

You can dislike interracial relationships; I myself would probably never marry/date a black woman.
But it's not your place to tell a couple they can't get married based on race, lol.

But they can still get married and he legally can't get involved lol. A judge telling you that you can't legally marry because of race is just LOL and he should be out of a job right now.

If I remember the article correctly, they did go to different judge, but they're still going to bring suit or something. Oh, and when word of this incident got out to the public.. well.. that's pretty much the major part of the story now. (whether he should be disbarred/ fired or not)

This bothers me. what does this guy think? that its 1970 or something?I know plenty of people who are mixed, and they don't have "Life issues". It's guys like him that slow progress of equality. Race shouldn't even be considered these days.
