Dude, there is a reason that nearly every foreign country in the world is pulling for Obama -- they miss the old America that didn't suck. They are sending us a message and we shouldn't ignore them in favor of our own fears and self-interest as we've been doing for the last eight years.

Republicans have a time and a place, and some of our best presidents have been affiliated with that party, so while I tend to disagree with their platform in regards to moral issues such as abortion, gun control and same sex marriage, I'm not about to say anything bad about them.

So David, I realize that you probably lean more in favor of McCain and Palin because of their more conservative values, and I totally respect that. But conservative values aren't going to pull us out of Iraq, regain the respect and dignity America once held in the eyes of the world, or fix the economy that John McCain claims has prospered under the Bush administration. Do what you gotta do, but if McCain is elected and ends up being a shitty sequel to George Bush, you're going to be the one who was wrong.

I respect that you are treating this with a professional attitude.

However. I believe (and this will be a shocker) that the country would be even WORSE off under Obama's plans. I think Obama has never really given a straight answer (at least from what little I am involved in), does not have enough experience, would crack under the pressure of being in a war.

Back to McCain - Palin. Obviously more experienced. and McCain is not George Bush. I believe that under his administration he would be able to fix the problems.

I don't the problems lie with the republican party. its not republican ideals that got us screwed up. its the current administration.

For the most part, it's probably not so much that you can't imagine, but when Bush was re-elected the big feeling was that Americans just don't care for anyone else out there.
When Bush announced he was seending troops to Iraq, he asked for assistance. The Australian Prime Minister at the time was one of the first to volunteer and sent our troops over to help out in a fight that was not ours.
My uncle was sent to Kuwait.

And with McCain and Palin, I see two people who would not have a problem utilising the armed forces and that scares me.

You did see the part in the debate where McCain attacked Obama over his tax reform policy and Obama simply clarified his misconceptions, right? He's given plenty of straight answers.
