How do you rate your self esteem? What is too high or too low?

I like myself, I like who I am, I never truly cared what anyone thought of me even if it was behind my back but sometimes whenever I want to do something great, I feel that maybe I am not good enough for it or I just can't do it right. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that I can do a lot of things if I put my mind to it but that same I believe we have a limit to the things that you capable of doing and there some talents you will never develop because it is not something you were meant to do or just not your specialty. Is this an example of someone of low self esteem? How high should someone's self esteem be?

I'm going to rate myself as anywhere between a four and a nine.

I inherited my mother's chemical mood swings.

I've gotten better the last year or so though, and normally hover around an eight.


And to answer your situation, that's not low self esteem, that's realism.

Self esteem is just somethin that man wants you to believe in.....I dont know. I say i have average self-esteem cause i dont focus on myself alot. I am what i am and if i cant accept that then i most likley would be an emo kid who slashs his wrists with butter knives.

I like doing things I wasn't good at at first, and I like making them perfect. I hate it when I make something that is not perfect, or at least good in my own eyes, but I don't have a low selfesteem. I think you can accomplish everything if you just set your mind to it. If I don't know how to do something, and I think I suck, I just try harder and then it works. I criticise myself a lot to keep myself on track, but never quit untill I know I'm really not cut out for it. But yeah, this is not really about me, or the other members is it. xD

I'd say you don't have a low selfesteem, thats just realism, like Morningstar said. =)

Same here. I attribute it to me being a rather odd and socially awkward person.

I have a great sense of self worth, bordering on arrogance. But hey, I'm ai'ight with that.

It's nice to have a good balance... call it the virtue between vices. It's not good to have very low self esteem, nor is it good to be incredibly overconfident and cocky. It's knowing that you're happy with yourself and how others perceive you.

I'm with Grimmjow and Morningstar, you're just a realistic person.

As for me, I have bucketfulls of esteem and confidance. Most of it is just b/c.... I think I'm awsome.

I used to have rlly low self esteem and such, but hating myself got boring >.>. So I made myself the mighiest person in my mind.

And I realised that I don't hate myself, just everyone around me.

Anyway, yeah, I'm pretty arrogant and such at times too, but I think that as long as you know it from yourself, and try to keep it within reasonably borders, its ok.

I'm arrogant when, and only when, it's appropriate, and I'm around my friends, as they KNOW when I'm just kidding' around.

The only real "arrogance" I could possibly deserve (I feel that if you're going to be arrogant, at least back it up with some skill), is in swimming, football (w00t Wide Receiver) and having big hair.

Generally, I'm very laid-back and happy with myself, as I'm being the best possible "me".

of the time my self esteem is kinda low
