Anyway, I haven't played Brawl yet and absolutely love Melee, but I expect to love Brawl all the same, different gameplay and all.

Each Super Smash Bros. is most likely going to be different than the next. Look at the large difference in gameplay between SSB and SSBM. Brawl seems to be somewhere inbetween the two. It also made "clones" more unique by giving them different smash attacks, which pretty much changes the entire character in the end. I'm content with the character roaster, as we have a lot more characters than in Melee. Some people were speculating there to be 50 or 60 characters, which I looked at as ridiculous and MUGEN-styled. As for the battle style, it seems nice so far, as in I can't really point out much I don't like from videos. But I won't really be able to judge until I play it and play it with other people.

Rep Power: 19 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Level: 41 EXP: | IGN: Super Smash Bros. Brawl Preview So, they're testing out Brawling online from San Francisco and Los Angeles in nice quality video Also, apparently, the second-layer of the Brawl DVD has not yet been ripped. There is still content on it we have yet to see. Wonder what it holds? Also, there are various characters cut out of Brawl. Here is a list of Assist Trophies that have not been seen in the final game or in the debug menu: - Sothe: one of the most commonly sighted Assist Trophies at Jumpfest. Instead of using his knife, he would do backflips to damage his opponents. He would also make a shout-out to Ike. - Rosalina: she would throw five star pieces, and after collecting them all, you would create a launch star which could be used to devastate your opponents. - Muddy Mole: This Assist Trophy was commonly sighted at Whobby. - Duster: there has been no description as to what this Assist Trophy did. - Pegasus Knights: A group of generic Pegasus Knights from Fire Emblem would attack your enemies at summoning them. - Adeline: this Assist Trophy was also reported at Whobby. List of cut Pokemon: - Onix: reported in the same breath as Metagross. He would the same attack as in the original Smash. - Shaymin: I am not sure what this pokemon did, but there was a lot of heated debate about this Pokemon making its appearance since it has yet to be officially unveiled by Nintendo. - Leafeon: Supposedly, Eevee would appear and make a random evolution into one of its evolved forms, sort of like Clefairy. - Regigigas: This Pokemon was reported at the same time as Metagross, yet it is absent in the final game. - Darkrai: He was reported to have been seen. List of cut music: - The Kingdom of Bern: This track played in FE6 and FE7. It was reported alongside two other Fire Emblem track that were in the final game. They included the FE7 Battle Theme and Mira's Aid, both of which are in the final game. Here is something to suggest that the Kingdom of Bern was taken out of Brawl: J02 - Fire Emblem - Main Theme J03 - Fire Emblem - Medley J04 - Fire Emblem Gaiden - With Mila's Divine Protection J06 - Fire Emblem The Sacred Stones - Combat Preparation J07 - Fire Emblem Sword of Seals - Winning Road J08 - Fire Emblem Blazing Sword - Strije to the Challenge J09 - Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance - Black Knight Battle J10 - Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance - Crimea Attacks J11 - Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance - Power-Hungry Fool J12 - Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance - Victory Is Near J13 - Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn - Eternal Bond Notice that J01 and J05 are both absent. I am guessing that the Kingdom of Bern was either J01 or J05. Xplay has the American version of the game and is showing it off here G4 - The Feed So the American version is obviously finished and produced. | Take me on. | So, after generally lurking the web, I've come across some info regarding Luigi's FS. According to his trophy, the dark magic of Luigi's FInal Smash is representative of the time Luigi has spent in Mario's shadow. OMG HE'S LIKE ANAKIN. EVIL LUIGI. |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() Level: 36 EXP: | Newly discovered is that in certain character match-ups, Characters get unique and specific victory themes and taunts =D So for example, when you are in a Fox vs Falco game and Fox wins, at the victory screen Fox makes a specific taunt towards Falco. He says "You're note ready for me, Falco!" There are also reports of when Wolf beats Fox, Wolf says his classic line "Can't let you do that, Star Fox!" Marth to Ike: "Ooooh? I thought you were the stronger one..." |

| Premium Member | lol, marth's calling ike out, i wonder if they will give marth an english voice actor to speak, i mean they gave samus one and i think they did her voice good heres a list of stuff that a person from smash boards posted about pikmin and olimar "Okay. So I have been playing with him exclusively since it came on Friday. So far I have found a few things that could up the Olimar Metagame. 1. Try to use the right pikmin in each situation. -This is obvious but should be stated. When I first started playing I didnt really pay attention to which pikmin were up in line and I did fine with the exception of coming up short with a purple pikmin fsmash. Now I tried to see which ones work best in each situation. For general attacking like fair, and smashes I try and use the reds and yellows. I have actually gotten most of my kills with the yellow. For purple and white I save exclusively for throwing. The reasoning for this is because the purple have knockback when thrown and can keep and opponent away while i cycle through pikmin. The white do good damage when attached to the opponent and for everything else...they suck. The do have a very good grab range but a poor throw so I try to only use a down thrown with them if I accidently use them to grab since this can lead to a fair or nair combo. The most important of the pikmin, I find, are blue. The reason is they have an EXCELLENT throw compared to the others. Whenever I really need a kill, I cycle to the blue and go for foward and back throws. This is so effective that my friends start yelling to each other when I have a blue up next in line. ( the say "in the chamber" lol). 2. Run, whistle and back fsmash -This one isnt really a technique as much as it a mindgame. What I do is a run in one direction, whistle and immediately fsmash in the opposite direction. The whistle animation makes the fsmash hard to see coming since the whistle colors cover fsmashing pikmin. This has worked alot for me but it will only work until the opponent figures out whats going on. Everytime my friends see the whistle they back up. This is still good since it gives me space and cycling room. 3. Whistle Armor -This was a good discovery. The Whistle has super armor. I think it only last during the first half of the whistle animation ( while his head is back). An example of this in use is when my friend used Charizards Fsmash. He Fsmashes and I whistle, switching a white to a much better yellow. I take no knockback and I immediatley fsmash, killing him, and winning the match. Hell Yeah. It was awesome. The timing is very hard and Im not sure its THAT useful. At first i thought i could use it when falling into and upsmash, that way i could dsmash them and they couldnt do crap bout it but I realized that its better to just airdodge. So im not sure how often this could be used. 4. Pikmin Chian Attacking -This one comes from Pyrnight. He uses it for Anti-air from the ground. My take on Up-B is that it is useful for attacking but the knockback is iffy at best. I believe that the power of the Up-B comes from which ever pikmin is at the hilt of the chain. As in, if you do the Up-B and you hit the person with a white one but Olimar is holding the chain by a red one, your opponent takes fire damage. I usually only use Up-B to finish a combo like Nair, double jump, Uair, Up-B. You have to be at the right angle but it works out pretty well. 5. Pikmin Cover -One awesome thing about your B-foward is that the Pikmin have hitboxes when thrown. Lots of people are saying you should hold them and not throw them in order for them to flower which makes them stronger and this is a good strategy but thowing them offers a lot as well. Pikmin Cover is when you throw a Pikmin at somebody so that the Pikmin take damage instead of you from certain attacks. An Example of this when, my friend maining Snake started spamming grenades. I started throwing Pikmin and the grenades would bounce of them and go right back at my friend. Hell Yes. Make sure to try and whistle before they die. Something even more useful about the Pikmin Hitboxes is that they stop some peoples charging foward attacks( I wasnt sure what to call these attacks). Examples of these are Falcons Raptor Boost and whatever Ikes foward b is ( I think it's "Quick Draw") What happens is when Ike charges quick draw, I just toss a Pikmin on him. He release the Quick Draw and goes nowhere, hitting the pikmin on him instead of dashing across the screen and hitting me. So you can use this against Ikes Foward B recovery. 6. Pikmin Chain Spike -I have done this on accident but I think its a viable technique to try and practice and Im going to try it out today. So, I was falling down and my opponent was trying to Up-B to the stage before me to edgehog me and ***** kill me (Im sure plenty of use know that Olimars recovery when someone is edgehogging sucks ***, its like he does even try!) Anyway, I use Up-B in an attempt to get there before him. What happens? My chain hits him on the his way up and stage spikes him. This has happened alot. So what I am thinking is that when I am edgehoggin somebody but I know they are going to make it back, what I can do is let go of the ledge(by going back, not down) and time my Chain so it hits them and I get back to the stage. If all goes well, I should stage spike them or at least hit them away from the edge. Like I said, not sure cause I haven't tested it too much, but by tonight I will have the answer." from Bossnasty73 i can't wait to play as olimar |
