Ven's name is probably Ventus, and Nomura might be trying to annoy us by not confirming it.

Nah, I can't see Nomura doing something like that on purpose. Just isn't his style imo. =/

However, I don't think any other name than Ventus would make that much sense and fit together with Aqua and Terra.

I could only think of a "sir name", title or something similar...

I don't know if this was speculated already, sorry if it's old news.

What I saw from that interview... the word "loner" was mentioned in the same sentence as Ven's nickname. Being the dork I am, I decided to look it up in kanji with a translator and transfer it into romaji, then inserting it into another translator for turning romaji into the actual word. It translated a bit different than it started out as, turning to "lone wolf", but the words are pretty much the same. Could Ven's real name be Ippiki Ookami? Seems long enough to need a nickname.

The interview should say longer, not loner, its a typo. That version of the interview has typos and misconstrued information. Theres even questions reported about that didn't appear in the article. In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of it. :/ Go read the English version of the article on the front page.

So you're saying that the Xehanort we know from Kingdom Hearts 2 and Ven are the same person?

A connection to Terra is just a lot more likely than one to Ven would be, judging the appearance and the looks.
