well i've always thought that the Keyblade must have a keychain in order to be called a keyblade but if the 3 Knights blades had no keychains could they really be called keyblades as everyone says?

not all keyblads have keychains...

but i have heard they are "Artificial" bc they dont have keychains

That artificial thing is just what some people think.

It hasn't been confirmed in any interviews.

I don't know if unchained keyblades are artificial or not. I'm not willing to make a theory about it either. I made enough theories while I was waiting for KH2 to come out, and it just ends with flaming and shitstorms, even if they end up being right.

All I know about a keychain is that it brings out the true power of the keyblade. That was mentioned in the Kingdom Key's description during the previous games.

It seems like this stuff would be easy to figure out since it already happened in the KH universe, but I guess I was wrong about that. We are prediction the future about the past, odd.

^ Well just like the Org coats they're to hid the character designs, because during the KH2 SE nomaru didnt know what VAT would look like.

They didn't remove their helmets during the KH2 SE, they only removed them during the KH2FM SE.
