It's just a random idea

If something like this have already been brought up i'm sorry, but as the title says, this is just a random idea. In KH2FM you fight Terra, he stated something about that he didn't chose Sora as the next bearer for the Kingdom Key but in KH1, it was stated by Yuffie and Leon that the keyblade choses it master. At first I thought this was some sort of mistake but from out of no where an idea hit me, what if Terra WAS the keyblade that Sora uses all along. This would explain why some keyblades have a keychain as others don't, lot of people have said that the keychains are the heart of the keyblade.

If you think back to the first trailer of BBS as it shows Terra, Aqua and Ven picking up keyblades that would be used by the Sora, Mickey and Riku later on, this could be in fact forshadowing the three of them becoming the keyblades that they use. In the next trailer, those three keyblades didn't appear again.

What i'm saying here is, what if the keyblades with keychains are in fact people that turn themselves into keyblades and they chose their masters.

Eh.Yuffie and Leon have heard about keyblades through legends and such from what we can tell, so they might not know everything about it.

In any case, people have thought of this before, and well, no offense, but I really don't agree.

it's plausable but unlikley. i think the keyblades choose the masters but maybe terra thought he had some say in it for some reason.

Like sir Hades has said, Leon and Yuffie heard legends of the Keyblade, what they say can really only be taken as a grain of salt, or pepper, whichever you prefer. Arieth is really the only one to listen to in KH, even though her voice sux on ice in KH2.
Terra most likely chose Riku to be the master of the keyblade. I think that Keyblades are a sort of technology that only works with strong hearted people. If Terra chose Riku, and then Riku gave himself up to the darkness, the Keyblade probably had some sort of automatic technical thingy that chose Sora because Sora was the stronger hearted at the time.
The first BBS trailor is ONLY a concept video, much like the second one. The keyblades in BBS were symbolic to show that TAV connected to SRM.
The "turning into keyblades" thing sounds a lot like a reencarnation theory, and I don't think TN would throw religion into the KH series. He's using concepts of religion, hand in hand with science and technology. I seriously doubt that he would use that idea, but hey, that's me. Until I have valid proof of that, you have no reason to listen to me, but...

Nor do I. I never liked the whole "Keyblades=people" thing. Given i'm not sure what else Terra could be talking about save for the keyblade when he said Sora wasn't the one he chose, but considering it chooses its own master, That'd be kinda weird. Though. Its like you said, Yuffie and Leon knew only from legend, most likely from the Ansem reports or something. Given they did live in RG.

But VAT, or so it seems, were of the original keybladers, so maybe their master instructed them that they would need to choose other masters for keys that were being created (if they were created) or something along those lines. Because it seems VAT does know all of the keybladers of Kh2, save for Kairi of course, but she doesn't count.
