Well if you are strong and stab your own heart what do you think is going to happen? The boy is not invincible nor is he invincible to himself so when he did that he lost his heart and gave back Kairi's heart.

Xehanort sent Kairi to DI from RG, this is said in one of the Ansem reports. And Sora and Riku live on DI, thats just obvious. Where else would they be from? This is pretty ridiculous. Kairi remembered the castle from RG probably because when her heart merged with Sora's, it could have brought forth some memories lying deep within her heart.

And what you're basically saying is Riku isn't from DI simply because he's a skilled fighter..? With a wooden sword. He could have easily just practiced and got really good. LIke Kawaiikousuke said,

As others have said, Sora and Riku are from DI, and Kairi is from RG. Fact, end of story.

Sora and Riku are definitely from Destiny Islands. Kairi, of course, is from Radiant Garden. Now I think the reason Sora thinks the castle is familiar is because in his opening dialogue he states he has been having weird dreams, so maybe he saw the castle in one of his dreams

ok, sora and riku were born on destiny island. proof being they were friends with tidus, wakka, and selphie forever. kairi is from radiant garden aka hollow bastion. proof being the slide from deep jungle where sora remembered it and it was really kairi remembering it cause she was inside sora. her heart was sent inside sora when destiny island was destroyed. and honestly how many little kids do you know that remember everything about their childhood before that. just a post i read before. there you go. dare to prove me wrong.

I'm going to say that Riku and Sora are from Destiny Islands, and it's obvious that Kairi is from Radiant Garden, but after reading this, I did find a few things odd. For instance, Kairi is a princess and if you watch the early parts of the first game you see that she seems to know something but that's not what I'm getting at. It was mentioned earlier that Riku acts knightly and noble. Sora is your average pauper/adventurer. I'm just finding the story a bit wierd when you look at it in this light.

Well, I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but Kairi's not an ACTUAL princess(not that we know of anyway). She's just a Princess of Heart, meaning no darkness in heart princess

This is what it is, so once again, Kairi's heart was inside Sora's at the time, it was Kairi rembering her home. That slide showed Radiant Garden. And, Riku and Sora are from Destiny Islands!

Kairi only remembers a few things from her past and that's it. I don't see what the big deal is, the girl left when see was like 4 or 5 you really think she is going to remember every little detail of her life in RG. Whether she knows something or not the fact is she is still form RG.

So what Riku is arrogant that doesn't mean he isn't from DI, he was the seen as the strongest and because of that he is going to feel a bit like a noblemen among the rest of them but really that doesn't mean he isn't from the island.

you do realize that this is the way it is for several storylines, not just kh. look at movies, books, anime and manga even. its just how it happens.

Well in the beginning of the game Kairi's heart goes into Sora's (which you find out near the end when you battle Riku the second or third time).

So that's the only reason why it's familiar to him - because some of Kairi's memories were in him because of her heart. Kairi is the ONLY one from Hallow Bastion whilst Riku and Sora are from the Destiny Islands

One last thing - in the trailer of BBS it shows Terra watching two young boys fighting with toy swords. I'm sure it was Sora and Riku :]

Exactly. Simply because he acts noble and is good at fighting doesn't mean he came from someplace else. He could be mature for his age (which we've seen), and he could've practiced his fighting skills. So. Yeah. This thread should be closed. The questions have been answered and this thread isn't exactly going anywhere new. <.<;

His heart was restored when Kairi hugged him, and he somehow got his body and soul back, too.
