Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ US Release Date!

Okay I kinda stumbled upon this while I was trying to find out weather or not KH2FM+ was coming to the US or not. Well on 1up.com they have a planned release of January 1, 2008. I wanted to know has anyone else has heard about this? Here is the link if you wanna check it out. Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix + PS2 Preview, Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix + Playstation 2 Preview I just hope its true so I don't have to get the one from Japan and have to always wonder what they are saying lol

It's false. 1UP guessed. A member from KHI e-mailed them a while ago and they admitted it was just a placeholder, that SE had said nothing.

Obviously nobody in their right mind would release a game at New Year. Nothing is open. KH2FM isn't going to be released outside of Japan, I'm afraid, D=. Meaning you're gonna have to import it if you really want it.

Not another guessed release date. Sorry Roxas86, but that's not true. KH2FM is Japan only. Why don't people just import it? That's what I did.

Maybe they don't have money,or don't know what to do once it's imported...but I also imported it,and it's working fine =D

Yeah, importing isn't really that bad. After all, KH2FM (not Re:COM) has english voice acting so that shouldn't be a problem :D

As for Re:COM, if you've played the original on GBA you should understand everything.

And if you've got problems with understanding the menus and abilitys then go to Video Game Cheats - Video Game Reviews - Video Game Codes - Video Game Web Site - GameFAQs (ask HadesDragon he's a member of em)
There are lots of faqs for english players. That's how I got to play FM+ ^^

(And I've even got a european PS2 and because of that the sound and movie are often not even synchro and the opening, end secret movie don't have proper sound at all, probably due to the PAL system and I still manage to enjoy the game a lot [thank youtube])

Import it, it's actually not even that expensive IMO

Actually that release date is really old, like August or something. But what's more worth it, buying a Jap. PS2, or buying a Swap Magic and risk damage to our PS2s?

Well I have had my Swap Magic for very a long time now... My PS2 is incredibly old, I got it when it first came out and I havn't had any trouble with her.

She is a great machine and has yet to be damaged by Swap magic, it's is very worth it in my opinion.

(I refer to her as a her... Because I want to lol)

Well, it's easier if you've played KH2 a lot. For the abilities and such, there are two ways around that:

1. Learn katakana (not hard at all, trust me).

2. Consult guides. GameFaqs FTW.

This is just me throwin ideas around and i doubt it will ever happen but wouldnt it be awesome if they brought out a kingdom hearts boxset of a totally english final mix 1 and 2 with Re: CoM as well. If it came out later rather than sooner stick BBS in as well lol. like a Kingdom Hearts compendium. Never gonna happen like but wouldnt it be cool.

That would be nice, =o. Unfortunately, SE will never do that. NA market tends to avoid remakes.

I'll import certain games. Not RPG's though, since I play mainly for the story. and since I cant read japanese the story would do nothing for me.

Well, you can just watch the videos on the internet, some people have been nice enough to translate all the scenes. Also, I think it would be fun to just equip whatever ability if you can't read them, it would make it harder.
