So why did Ven look toward Aqua when he was frozen?
Obviously she's important but I mean what's her role to him? A mother figure? A love interest?
and why not look at Terra? he's sexier. I mean if I was in Ven's place I'd look at Terra.

There is almost certainly a reason he would look at Aqua instead of Terra, either way Terra was knocked off that plateau of land by the tornado of keyblades before MX fried, and froze him. So, Ven probably didn't know where Terra is.

If Ven does die I think that would be the primary reason of Terra's downward spiral and demeanor in the fight against Sora in FM+. Terra couldn;t even attempt to save Ven while in the clutches of MX.
