Like Crisis Core which used FMVs scenes for each summon and summon attack.

But we don't need all the scenes in FMV's, just the super cool ones.

But game play comes first, at any rate.

But game play comes first, at any rate. | Oh yeah, defintely. I'd rather take no FMVs to substitute the space for voice acting instead of reading speech bubbles.

In Kingdom Hearts there is great flow in the scenes because you go from Gameplay, to a scene, and back to gameplay and there is no massive transition in graphical quality, the standard of quality between a cut-scene and simple in-game battles is the same, so there the flow between a battle and a scene is streamline.
If you have a mass of FMV scenes, it interrupts the flow of the game, and in general it gives you less of an appreciation for the normal scenes themselves.
You jump from a perfectly acceptable scene like this into a pre-rendered dazzling scene of this, and it's such a large transition between the scenes that you think lesser of the majority of the game in favor of the short clips you see of pre-rendered graphics | I totally agree. And candy isnt good if you eat it too much =)

I have done alittle bit of computer animations stuff, and although I've only hit the tip of the iceburg...no, screw the iceburg, the tip of the continent, I know it takes a freaking long time to make those scenes. I'd rather just stick with what we got, and not cause delays. I'd like to get these games sometime before I go to college.
