The Heartless took over Hollow Bastion 19 years before KH1, according to Leon, which means that Xehanort and Ansem's Apprentices were probably doing their experiments within a few years before that date.

So I'd say around maybe 20-25 years ago Xehanort appeared at Hollow Bastion with no memory, so I assume if the next game deals with his past, that it has to take place atleast 25 years before KH1

eh i'd say some where from 20 - 25 years, cuz Micky was still alive so it cant be to far off but it has to be atleast 20 because it deals with Xeanhorts past before he met Ansem the wise.
