Keyblades seem to have been developed since last I cared to look at updates on Kingdom Hearts.

The composition of keyblades have been defined as having one of “two different constitutions”, the material either being from the “Light side or the Dark side”. The importance of this seems to be that a light and dark-side keyblade are required to seal the door to Kingdom Hearts, as this is what Mickey did in KH1. However, “…the inner [essence of the] key can act from either side and its abilities won’t change”.

“The special hearts held by the Princesses were used to artificially make [Riku’s first] keyblade….so it is different from a proper keyblade.” The topic of artificiality makes me think keyblades are natural occurrences, contrary to the idea of the Chaser as a keyblade creator. Also, Nomura’s statement that “Riku's ‘Way to the Dawn’ and Kairi's keyblade are naturally the same type of keyblade as Sora's” makes me think they are also natural with his use of that word. I know it’s a translation, but it’s what I have to work with.

There is also a “normal process of acquisition” to receiving a keyblade, and I have no idea what it is since only Sora seems to have had a normal acquisition. The Knights get theirs in the field, Mickey gets his from the Realm of Darkness, Riku’s has the “Soul Eater’s transfer and occurrence” and Kairi gets her from “Riku’s handing it” over to her.

The only qualification for being a keyblader that has been revealed so far is that one must have a “strong heart”. The amount of keyblades correlates with the amount of people “with qualified hearts”. As per Nomura’s statement about the uniqueness of Roxas, since Sora and Roxas both have the ability to use two keyblades, either they are using their own and someone else’s, or Roxas had his own heart – which was hinted at in a Nomura interview.

Also, Nomura made it a point to say that the King has “the ability to use keyblades from both the Realm of Darkness and of Light”, which makes me think this is abnormal and should be considered special.

Sora means Sky, Riku means Land, and Kairi means Sea. Ven is a nickname for his real name meaning wind, Terra means Earth, and Aqua means Water.

However, considering there might be a relationship between the people with similar elements, I find it amusing that Terra claims to hate Xehanort in KHII:FM and Riku has Xehanort’s heartless/heart within him. Quite inconvenient.

Also, I hear Ventus might be a probable name for Ven’s real name.

Nomura said “The armored figures have a connection to Xemnas but after all I can't give any specifics at the present stage”. However, he sort of did. The armored figures have a connection to XEMNAS, not Xehanort. As far as I know, Xemnas was a NOBODY. Any thoughts?

“Master of Keyblade” sounds strikingly similar to the epitaph we saw in KHII for Roxas, “The Lost Two” could easily mean the King and Riku, and the “Memory of Xehanort” is obviously a reference to his past.

As for Chasers and Keyblade War, ya got me!

I don’t know why Nomura would put in such a deceptive shadow, but I screenshot it and you can view it here. What is this? Look at the shadow in the helmet. The shadow can't be from what the Knights are looking at, the Elder Mage and his heartless, nor any of the other Knights since they are on the other side of the helmet. ???

No, Twilight didn't write too much. If you can't sit in one place and read a few things for about five minutes, then you have ADD.

Also, nice information. But the 'deceptive shadow' thing is merely the fade-in of the approaching UEM.

NO, I like your theory a lot. Actually has some depth in it. But I can't agree with you when you said Roxas once had his own heart...but at the same time I think it's kinda sloppy that Nomura would say 'oh Roxas could use the Keyblade because he had a connection with Sora' If I may ask, where did Nomura hint about Roxas having a heart at one point? Thanks

In the additional event "Farwell to a Friend", there's a scene where Axel tells Roxas "You really do have a heart, don't you". What is the actual case here?

Nomura: In this scene, it ends bringing up more mysteries about Roxas, so for the answer, maybe take care to follow your hunches well, it's also related to Xehanort's memories, but I can't give any specifics now.
