360 has been out how long now? and still haven't dropped. I don't think the ps3 will drop any time soon. the truth is they can't afford to drop the price. NO PROFIT. it took too much money to make especially the PS3 and the blue-ray. I mean ouch....
the wii's pricing went up because it was so high in demand they'd make extra bucks you know?

The 360 will have price drop when Halo 3 comes out or around it. If they do it around when GTAIV and Halo3 comes out..=WIN WIN.

The Wii will more and likely have one next year.

Sony said the PS3 may have price drop in 2009. When Sony drops it price in 2009, MS and Nintendo will do another Price drop. Sony gets ___ed hard, and I can bet you anything if Sony waits till 2009 thats what will happen.

SuperEclipe you must be a xbox fangirl cause you cant say the gen race is over yet because Xbox 360 had trouble when it was first released for almost a year as well. Plus the only reason to buy Halo anyway is to play online other than that i never really cared for the game. The 360 has had some good games but you cant count the PS3 out when alot of the developers have yet to switch over because the PS2 wasnt even at the end of its life. As soon as alot of the PS2 developers switch i think we will see a rise in PS3 sales.

But yeah Sqaure may make some MMOs for the 360s but i bet they will keep KH exclusive for the Play Station or they will have it on the PS3 and Wii. The race isnt over for the next gen cause PS3 hasnt hit the big games yet and will soon enough.

NA, 360 is outselling the PS3.. 360 first and 2nd is Wii. Everywhere else it's 360 vs Wii. Sony is only doing good in EU.

btw, the 360 had no problem selling when it first came out.. Like the PS3 had.

Are you kidding? Its not very great to have the Wii beat out last gen, cause 360 and PS3 do it too...Its really not that complicated. And yeah, the 360 gains sales cause they break down without reason all the time and there selling the stupid elite. Wow, a bigger hard drive, why dont I just go out and spend 400 bucks on a console I already have? Oh, this time, its BLACK. Halo distroys lives. Period. Look at Resistance. Good shooter, shows some potential for PS3. Oh, and this generation isnt over by a long shot. Weve still got quite a few years.

Not all the 360 break down and MS fixs them for free. Unlike Sony where if you had problem with PSP Sony said deal with it. Oh wait go to the PS3 forums and look at all the problems the PS3 is having

Oh and think before you post, if you want bigger harddrive you don't have to buy the Elite. The Elite is just for people that want the HD crap or for the ppl that don't have a 360 yet and been thinking about gettin one.

Anybody who WANTS an Xbox has one already. No need to get the "Elite." I havent experienced ANY problems with my PS3. EVER. And the whole Bigger Hard drive thing is retarded. Sony or Microsoft does it, its still gay. 60 gigs is quite fine. And 120...WAY too big. And I never said anything about fixing. The box they send to you for you to send your 360 in has knife marks and big holes and the sides are kicked in.

SuperEclipse, just stop. You have no idea what you're talking about. First, you say that the current generational console war is already over. If anyone had said that at the same time last gen, Xbox would've been beaten into the dust. But oh, look! The XBOX SOLD MORE THAN THE GAMECUBE. WOW.

Next, you say that Microsoft should drop their price when their two best games come out? Well, that might make them sell a little better, but honestly that's not how business works. If you're making a lot of sales already (or are about to), you don't LOWER the price of your item. The 360 is going to make a lot of sales during the GTA4 and Halo 3 launches anyway; lowering the price would likely lower their overall profit. What they would (and will) do is lower the console's price when the sales drop, much like the Nintendo did with the GameCube (which made them a LOT more money than the Xbox, ironically).

Interesting idea...
The only problem is that there's no guarantee that lowering the price will bring exclusive games back to the PS3, and without the Blu-Ray the PS3 is a bit less.

Nah; Square was all Nintendo until the PS1, and they've officially "re-connected" their previously severed ties to Nintendo. Final Fantasy XI was recently re-released on the 360 as well.
