Knight = Defeated or Retreated?

There's something that I can't get off my mind. After you beat that secret knight boss, does he die or does he retreat? If he plays a future roll in the series, then I definately think he will retreat or say something like "That is enough" because he was merely testing Sora. Then again, Sora could destroy the knight altogether and cause something to happen... which I don't know what. I'm basically jotting my thoughts down so I don't know if I'm getting anywhere. What are your thoughts/theories on this?

yeah i agree with the above poster

considering xemnas wasn't destroyed from his fight in kh final mix, it will be similar in kh2 fm where the guy from a future game will be testing sora or something

It's an optional fight. If you don't fight him, nothing happens, so of course he won't die.

They wouldn't be able to kill him and have something happen that affects the story line because it's an optional fight and they would have to make the fight required to further the story.

I think it might be like Sephiroth from KH1. when you win he just leaves and goes back to where he came from.

meh he won t die , because why would he put him in the secret movie of the normal kh2 without his fight (but it is possible but not likely

He won't die. it is obvious. he wont retreat i think it may be like axel in COM. he looks like he died but he doesn't. but hemight also just retreat saying "this wasn't supposed to happen"or something like that.

yeah that he was suprised that sora (us) is strong

and he trains te beat sora afterwards

I dont think he will die. Unless he didnt have a big role in KH3 like someone more important than him sent him to kill Sora and sora won, but then they would have to tell more about the knight sora killed in KH2FM, i guess i dont know.

He will retreat. The enigmatic knight will play an important role in KHIII so he won't be dying here.

Maybe its the same thing when Sora fights Roxas where he just appraers and there in that weird place and start fighting

Axel touched Sora's heart.When he was with Sora..Perhaps he awaken too.
