The next game would be good :)
It'd have to be after the Xehanort Saga

Wasn't this thread done before last year? Just another day for KHinsider.

Yes and no. For some reason I have an aversion to watching characters "grow up," especially when it entails any major alterations to their personalities or behaviors. On the other hand, I think it's going to be a bit dull if Sora stays fourteen/fifteen for the entire series, even past the Xehanort saga (not to mention it's going to get harder and harder for Haley Joel Osment to do his voice). I think after KH3 a small time-jump would be warranted to at least get the kid into his late teens.
As long as his personality doesn't change much why not? It worked for KH2
It depends. My first thoughts were to say “No”—I feel him being the age he is now makes his interactions with Disney characters admissible, less so when he's 23-25.
But then again, who says he has to interact with Disney characters the way he does now? He’d presumably be a keyblade master in future installments, his apprentice(s) perhaps the new protagonist(s). He'd still be fun-loving, still be in talks with Mickey, just not as he does now.
Something like that wouldn’t be all that bad.
I don't know about the events of 3D, and I feel like that might influence people to some extent on whether or not they should age him for KH III or the next filler game. But, timeskips are fun, in pretty much any story. The 15 yr. old Sora is starting to get kinda stale, and chances are it'll be even worse after 3D, so I welcome it.

At first I thought an older Sora might be weird interacting with Disney characters, but I thought Terra and Aqua (older people) were fine as they interacted with them. I think having him grow older would be smarter for the series because not only is HJO getting older, but age is clearly in the KH series, so it would be weird having him grow older from KH1 to KH2, and then just stop growing all together.
I think he should be around 18/19 in KH3.
i think he should be older as is he not doing keyblade master training in 3Ds? so therefore it would take him a while to train they cant just hand him the certificate or whatever you get for passing lol maybe around 17/18
hey you want a cookie?
no all my cookies! nomnomnom :P
He's gonna be 15-17 for a very loooong time. We've been playing as 14 year old Sora for ten years :c
Also SE tends to make their main protagonist between the ages of 14-22 so you'll never see Sora older than that. (There are exceptions, but this is just the average)
In KH Sora was 14, then those events took place. Then he went to Castle Oblivion in CoM, and then fell asleep for one year. So he is either 15 or almost 16 in KH2. Idk about DDD, but I'd imagine there being some time lapse, and then again after DDD to KH3? Idk he's gotta be at least 17 I'd think in KH3.
I'm undecided, I guess I'm cool with whatever, he's been 14 for 10 years like mentioned above.
Obviously he should remain the age he is for KH3.
But thinking more along the lines of him appearing older in the next saga, is anyone dead set against this?
To the Avatar watchers: If you can picture, say, Korra spiritually meeting Aang in his mid-twenties, is picturing the next protagonist meeting Sora in his mid-twenties as a Keyblade Master or something any more or less difficult? Would you like to see something like that?
