People just don't have that sense of imagination they think Bugs Bunny = not as epic as mickey.

At least the humor in the game would be much better.

Plus when you get use to something change is very hard.

I actually prefer Bugs Bunny over Mickey, but then again I grew up watching Looney Tunes :3

People say it won't be the same. Of course it won't. Thing is that KH isn't that good and the Disney elements have always been weak after KH1.

It seems to me that people are overestimating Disney's influence to the storyline and underestimating the work that can be done with other characters/shows/companies.

Well sad part about it that most people will say it's only your opinion I agree with you. I've always felt after KH1 maybe even COM Disney never matter.

In fact you could replace most worlds in KH2, BBS, and Days probably get the same outcome.

I know it's subjective, but I love the classic Loony Tunes more then disney(though the modern stuff is shit), but i don't think Bugs and co are relevent in the eyes of kids these days. I will say WB would have most likely gave Square more creative freedom.

I was talking about how the actual conversation in the elevator of KH went, when I said they were joking with each other, that was in response to the question "How did you think the conversation in the elevator went?" so I was speculating what actually happened, not what could have happened. It wasn't meant to be about if SE went to a different company xP

The sound effects, visuals, and themes are all very Disney, and I feel they have been just as strong the entire way through. It could definitely be done with other companies, but personally I would not like the result, because while I love stuff like classic looney tunes or CN cartoons, those would not give me the same story about the heart or dreams, those have always been more about the light side of humor IMO. That is a major thing that draws me to the series.

This is exactly how I see it, I like loads of other cartoons (grew up watching looney tunes, disney originals, cartoon network), but there is just something a lot more rounded about the way the disney characters are and react to the worlds and other characters. You get that feeling similarly when you watched a great disney classic like the Lion King or Alice in Wonderland. Something that is just pure, remains innocent yet can be funny/serious whenever it once. Oh and to couple disney will final fantasy characters I think would only work with disney at the current stage of the series in my opinion =).

Same as above. The art style won't make a game better and personally, I don't find it to be appealing. I'll admit that it works for Disney characters and worlds, but that's about it. Without Disney, it wouldn't be necessary to have that style and the game would be fine without it.

Themes are themes. That they fit with an archetype doesn't matter because even without Disney, the very same themes could still work.

So that they are "all very Disney" when Disney itself has little influence over the storyline, character motivations and all those aspects, which are extraneous, doesn't mean it's can't work without it.

This is too much of a presumption. Those aspects of hearts and dreams could still be there with other IPs. Of course the story won't be the same, but it's not that much of a loss considering that it's currently very disjointed. It doesn't help when they don't release FM+ in NA.

The only difference that I think would definitely happen is probably the way the universe is structured, but that neither hinders or benefits the series. Not to mention your own personal draw doesn't apply to everyone.

I also don't feel the story is disjointed at all, and it makes perfect sense so far :/ To me at least.

Would the series have been more popular or have a better story line if square had fused with a company like cartoonnetwork, nickelodeon, or just any other entertainment company that makes it shows/movie mostly for kids

The one thing I can agree is that it probably wouldn't have been as popular. The storyline itself may or may not have been better. My whole argument is about how certain aspects could still work with other companies whereas most people think otherwise.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to deny the influence Disney has had in some aspects such as it's commercial success. I'm merely pointing out that it wouldn't necessarily been worse without it.

spoilers: the only reason anyone gave a shit about kh in the first place was because it had disney and ff characters in it

thing is, if se couldn't implement disney well into the series after kh1, the same would probably be true of anything else. wouldn't have been any better or worse i'm guessing.
