The Official VA Discussion Thread - Corey Burton On Voice Acting

So, we just recently learned that Jesse Corti just finished recording the role of Neku Sakuraba for Kingdom Hearts DDD, and that Vincent Corazza finished recording the role of Zexion/Ienzo for the same game two weeks ago. My question is this: With more news of voice recording actually being finished already, do you think that we'll start to see news of localization such as North American site updates, translated trailers, magazine coverage, a release date announced, etc? Also, will the Japan's release date be closer to the rest of the world's release dates now if voice recording is finishing up already?

I think they already announced that it is officially coming to the States and beyond. For a release date, if SE is smart, sometime in June or July. But, seeing as they are douches, probably later than that.

Aww bummer:( That sucks as they are the main cast I wanna see returning! I mean dont get me wrong I am extremely excited about all the rest of the returning actors, but any one of their replacements would totally feel wrong. I mean the few times Alyson Stoner voiced Kairi, she sounded completely out of place. Namine sounded the same regardless of her voice actor and Corey Burton does a pretty good imitation of Christopher Lee with Ansem the Wise. I just hope that they keep Sora as Hayl's even though he is a bit older.

I don't doubt that HJO won't reprise his roles, but you are aware that IMDB is just as unreliable as Wikipedia, right? It's not a credible source, despite how awesome James Earl Jones would be as Aqua.

I hope IMDB is not correct because I just don't like Alyson Stoner as Kairi. I like the original cast so much more.
I live RIGHT by the recording studio that they record the English versions of the series. I am so tempted to go there or call and ask for information! >_<

I don't care much for Kairi so I don't care who voices her. Actually they can replace all three of SoRiKai trio voices. I don't care for there voices. I can think of at least one different actors who could voice Sora.
