It would be great if they made a movie using the technology that's used for the cutscenes in the games and using the characters' voice actors as well, but not real-life actors. That'd just ruin the movie completely.

I can see it working as long as it's not live action or a movie adaptation of one of the games.
Maybe a sequel, but not an adaptation. Also, it wouldn't work if it was in anime style.

I would rather have Disney/Pixar make the movie, not Square. Square for games, Disney/Pixar for movies. But there shouldn't be a movie at all.
