I wonder if Utada will comeback for KH3 (for the sake of her fans), or the fans will start a petition to bring Utada back for KH3....

I'm optimistic that she will. As of now, KH3 isn't even in development, so it's probable nothing as specific as music has been discussed at this point. She's picked a really convenient time to go on hiatus given that KH3 can't be expected to appear for at least another three or so years (possibly more given there's going to be another game in between KH3D and KH3), so by the time they've settled into really working on KH3 as a project, I think she'll be ready to make her come back. Enter KH3 as the perfect promotional device, especially since her newly extended record contract is worldwide, freeing her up to write songs in any language she so desires (I'm expecting French and English)... It would certainly make less sense (from a marketing stand point) for her not to do it at that time. Add to that the fact that Utada is ultra-aware of her fan base and what we want and likes to give it to us.

That said, anything could happen. :P

I can see the possibility of Utada coming back. If she does not I would totally sign a petition. I am still open to the idea of a new artist too. Whatever happens I am sure I will be happy with it.

She has to come back surely? I mean I do see her as an integral part of the KH brand itself and she did sing for the first and second game after all, both of which have been repeatedly used for all of the KH entries so far (10 years worth!), but then to go and have someone else do the third one? It wouldn't feel right to me.

Wow, that seems vaguely reminiscent of Mitsuda getting stomach ulcers when working on Chrono Trigger's soundtrack way back when. (And that soundtrack ended up pretty amazing) Talk about suffering for the sake of art.

I want Son of Flynn, Rinzler, The Game Has Changed, Adagio for Tron, Derezzed, and Flynn Lives. And CLU too. *wants all the Tron: Legacy songs*

Son of Flynn would make a nice world theme song, and Derezzed as the battle theme. Adagio for Tron for all the emotional moments, Rinzler for the Rinzler fight, CLU for the CLU shiz, and Flynn Lives just for the sweet Daft Punk awesomeness.

Oh, I'm sorry. I meant like another orchestral version of Passion. Nevermind xD because I just realized the Hikari orchestral version in the recent trailers is the same from other games. I don't know why I thought it changed o__o
