question about names

do any other names mean anything? (i know sora means sky, so i just wondered if anyone elses did)

Kairi means 'ocean' or 'sea' I think. Riku means 'land'.

Xion based off a flower that's a form of 'forget-me-not'. Namine' means something close to 'wave coming from'.

Aqua means 'water', Terra means 'earth', and Ventus means 'wind' or 'air'.

And... There're others but I can't remember them atm.

Sora = Sky
Kairi= Ocean (if you read the kanji character of kai as ocean but it means separation)
Riku= Land

Ventus= Air
Aqua= Water
Terra= Earth
Vanitas= Emptiness, Vanity

Xion= I heard it means tide (or receding tide) as Shion

I think its mad cause they take air land and ocean like different elements and use them for their names and thats how aqua ven and terra are connected to sora kairi and riku they have the same name meanings.

It goes with their personalities though. Riku is a pretty down to earth guy, Sora s a very open and goes with the flow kind of person, and Kairi...well...we don't get enough of who she is but I figure she is as conforming as water is in a bottle. (a little bit too conforming...)

@MangaCrazy101 ...Well Nomura is one for nature and connecting themes. The names are suppose to establish the connection then the events that happen show how far those connections go.

That is true as well. At least they are like their elements.

Kairi is too flexible and wishywashy. "Let's all go together!" "Just the two of us, Sora!" "Riku!" "Sora!" Or maybe that makes her a whore...Until she apologizes to Riku for her words and can some how rectify herself, she is going to be the pest of KH.
