nah, I don't think so. Each Keyblade is sort of made from either the Darkness or Light in the Apprentice/master's heart (which ever is more dominant, or otherwise). And this Darkness or Light is somewhat like a owners finger print, or voice. It differs and is unique from every other person. People don't share the same light or darkness.

Light and Darkness are a repeating motif in KH. If they'll want to go the distance, I see no reason why they shouldn't make "matches" for the Keyblades. Especially if the logic behind the KK/IKK will let them do it.

Actually if you think about it, the theory could both be null and void yet hold some truth. The Dark Relm's Keyblade could only be the result of a Keychain, but at the same time that could also mean that there are dark keychains

There ARE Dark Keychains. Like the Oblivion and Guardian Soul. Ironically, despite the IKK's base, I wouldn't be surprised if the Keychain on it was Light based.

Since the IKK was supposed to be the light in the darkness right?

The KK's "core", "base", whatever you want to call it - the thing you eventually slap a Keychain on - is from the Realm of Light. The Keychain itself, the KK's, is also considered Light affiliated.

So are all true keyblades light to begin with? I was thinking that was what the legend Kairi's grandmother was talking about meant. The light that everybody wanted.

Mickey's KK's base came from the Realm of Darkness though. So we know of a Keyblade that came from "there".

I think Kingdom Key has an opposite because it's meant to lock Kingdom Hearts from both sides. If it wasn't needed, Mickey could've just used the Star Seeker. He went to the world of darkness to get the Kingdom Key D. So he must have needed that specific Keyblade. And before someone throws a "he needed a dark keyblade" out there, Nomura said that Mickey's Keyblade is light.

Where did he say that Mickey's Keyblade was Light? o,o; since you know... it came from the Realm of Darkness.
I do agree about needing to lock the Door from both sides though. Here's to having it explained in Birth by Sleep.
