Well, I'll state one thing for sure. GA's theory can go hand-in-hand with Lonbilly's theory on Kairi being friends with Ven, then become obsessed with Sora because of her 'relation with ven'.

This theory make sense and it's not exactly a 'cliche idea'. It's fitting, it doesn't need the ludicrous 'ven is in Sora' and it can be adaptable to many elements in the Kingdom Hearts plot.

I embrace the Family Importance in Kingdom Hearts for a reason; because to make Sora, Kairi and Riku act as believable children/teenagers instead of being flawless, independent people. Really, for the life of me, I cannot understand the lack of appearence from Sora's mother when he disappeared [though I hope she has some form of role that holds Sora back]. After all, family can make deep character development.

Xigbar seeing Xion as Ven. He saw her as Ven, but it's up in the air whether he knows that is Ven or not. After all, he might not remember Ven, but the connection is still there.

It really gets under my skin sometimes when I see someone post a theory and it gets blasted for no other reason than "FAMILY'S NOT IMPORTANT TO KH!" or "THERE ARE NO CANON PAIRINGS IN KH!" or "KAIRI IS NOT CONNECTED TO VAT" all the while forgetting that Nomura's a human being who's allowed to change his mind once and a while. Seriously, when did we become the creators of Kingdom Hearts? Sure, some stuff is highly unlikely, but it's still fun to speculate about it.

And that's a very, very good point. I never thought of that before, but you're right, he would've always looked like Ventus, so that may need to be explained.

Okay, I noticed that people are talking about Sora's memories and I haven't had time to read the entire thread, so if this has been mentioned before, I apologize. But here's some food for thought: first, it seems obvious to me that something very bad happened to VAT because Xigbar said the Keyblade wielders disappeared, which means Ven would've disappeared too, around the time that Sora was three or four. If that's the case, then the reason why Sora might not remember Ven could be the same reason why Kairi doesn't remember Radiant Garden: they were just too little when they knew those people and places, so he simply forgot that he had a brother.

But you'd think young Sora would recognize if something traumatic happened to Ven back when he was three, because his parents would surely know about it at some point. So...what if Sora has repressed memories of Ven stored away in the depths of his heart, and when he stabbed himself with the Heart Unlocker, those memories were released and formed the appearance of Roxas? It might be a stretch, but it at least attempts to explain why Roxas looks like Ven if Ven is Sora's brother.

Just pointing this out there, if Birth by Sleep is ten years prior to Kingdom Hearts, and I'm assuming Ven is around 15 and when they see Sora, he's four...
Than 10+15-4 = 21

'If' Ven and Sora were brothers. That mean's Ven would be 21 years older than Sora, not 10. I mean, this could happen, But, highly unlikely.

Also, it IS possible that Ven could have been forggoten. Xemnas remembers Aqua and Ven from before being a Nobody, and obviously Xehanort, his Heartless, doesn't, so maybe during the process of becoming a Nobody, the Chain of Memories are restored. So that could have caused the Organization's original members to remember him.

Also, maybe Sora could have remembered his brother after Roxas came back to him to restore his Chain of Memories (shit, I can't believe I'm wrote that).

It makes me wonder if Nomura truly put some thought into the fact that Roxas is suppose to look (suppose to, simply because, at least in FMV graphics, they differentiate) like Sora, and thus, both look like Ventus. It's even more of a problem if young Sora was already existing. So two people just happened to look like each other so damn well? There's Aqua also, but she has a more older feature, with teeny changes to her face to say that she doesn't have to be related. Can be, but doesn't have to. Sora/Roxas/Ven is another story.

That's definitely going to be a plot hole as to why someone resembles some other who was born ten years before himself. So I like the theory for that very reason: simply because there has to be something that explains this certain slip.

The problems I have with the theory is that Nomura has already been hinting and playing around with the notion of whether Roxas has a Heart or not, which is a high possibly that it's Ven's. Not to mention Ven's own request to be "erased".

I do think these two theories are compatible though.
A part of Ventus can still end up in Sora even as his brother.

and Yes it is possible to have a "Long lost brother"...thats probably why sora didn't recognized him...it is possible to have a sibling you don't know about...Since he was older the 'rents could have had a life somewhere else. The parents could be pulling one of those, "your too young to know" kind of deals

I dont know if anyone has ppointed this out or anyhting yet but Sora had no idea what a keyblade was in KH1 aswel as they had no idea there were outside worlds which Ven wouldve travelled to. Unless you are saying Sora never met Ven so he never was exposed to those thoughts then I say this is doomed.
