Say what you will about the date's validity/viability, but it's still quite suspicious (the site, itself, can assuredly be considered a ruputable-source). Not-to-mention, the fact it's rather oddly-specific for a potential 'estimation' about a game which hasn't even been announced and/or confirmed for release anywhere outside Japan. Go figure.

There's certainly nothing to indicate that. Plus, as I said, it's very specific. It definitely foregoes any of the typical '12/31/XXXX'-nonsense. Could be something.

I dont under stand why if some one think its not worth making a thread why even post any think in it then.......why do thy even care any ways? I mean he saw soming that was wired so he asked if any one thought it was wired that one site would have the date up already when we have heard about a it yet any wears else.......just cause you may know that its just an estimated or that they got the wrong date before does not mean every one else know it too. 1-up doesn't know jack-shit. They were the ones that reported that Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ was confirmed to release in the U.S. in Fall 2007.

Websites put fake dates up based on their estimations all the time, ESPECIALLY GameStop/EBGames/Amazon/etc. to encourage sales.

I and others already went through with this bullshit when Kingdom Hearts 2 came out.

Look. Square-Enix North America has not yet announced an NA release date for BbS. Period. Therefore, there isn't one.

1.) NA release dates are usually not mentioned within 1-2 weeks of the JAPANESE release date announcement.
2.) We don't have to prove you wrong, you as the OP have to prove yourself right.
3.) To both of you, Donald Duck has nothing to do with anything. 1up is just a business, a company, and they'll put up whatever KH-related image they can upload easiest. They don't care that they didn't put up Terra. For all you know, they uploaded Donald because it came first in an alphabetical list of images in their KH folder, lol.
4.) 1up does not know anything. Companies aren't a conspiracy that secretly tell reviewing companies release dates behind people's backs. It has never worked like that. When a publisher has a release date to announce, they say it, and that's that.

1up is one of many sites that put guesstimated placeholder release dates on games without having anything confirmed. The reason this is done is so that the game appears on a calendar .xml database; when the game gets an official release date, it is updated. Who knows why they can't put "TBD".

Square-Enix will most likely announce the NA release date near the JPN release and the PAL release near the NA release.

Until then, it's all speculation.

Dogen and Shamdeo are absolutely correct on this matter, I was personally here to witness the whole KH2FM debacle, there were rumors of a fall release in magazines circulating for quite and a while and I can personally attest to the fact that they did indeed label its release as the first of January of 08:



As you no doubt know, KH2FM was never met with a stateside release (Re:CoM was but that wasn't until MUCH later, and KH2FM itself remains a japanese exclusive.

You might argue that this particular date is more specific, but regardless of that it does not mean that the date is reliable, as has been previously stated entities like 1up, Gamespot, game retailers and other venues issue out "placeholder dates" all the time, it does not mean they know something we don't, it's just a guess on their part. Ultimately, you can only trust what comes straight from the horse's mouth, and Square-Enix has not released an NA release date, so therefore even if this is miraculously correct it should be taken with a grain of salt.
