Default Xehanort and the door
I was just curious wether or not Birth By Sleep is supposed to answer how Xehanort opened the door underneat the radian garden castle. Did Nomura talk about this particular point at all?

yes it has been talked about LOL! When Xehanort created the heartless (as he first discovers one) It wonders around the Lab, and opens the door to the Heart of Radiant Gardens world. Xehanort was surprised to find the door open, little realization to the fact that the heartless are capable of opening the doors to the hearts of worlds. When Xehanort entered that door he felt a mass amount of energy. The next day he realized that their was shooting stars in the sky, and when he went to discover a piece, he found it to be a gummi substance (gummi block/gummi ship oooooooooh). When a worlds sky falls that means it's barrier has been broken. This is how Ansem SoD was able to bring the worlds to darkness, and that is the reason the keyblade was needed to seal the doors to those worlds.

Yes, but why Xehanort? Why was he able to see/open/enter the door? Why not Ansem or any of the other apprentices?

There must be something special about him...

Well Xehanort mentions how the Heartless led him deep inside the castle into a part that never had known to exist. There he found a door with a Keyhole on it, but it didn't appeared to be locked. Xehanort clearly expresses though how it was he himself who opened the door, not the Heartless.

Even Ansem the Wise wonders how Xehanort managed to open the door to the world's heart.
