I know we recently made a connection to Ven and Vanitas simply because there names sound very similar. but i think the connection was always there and hinted towards us from the beginning. I know kh2 secret ending was just concept and hardly and most of it is considered non-canon, but you clearly see Aqua picking up reverse KK, Terra picking up KK, and Ven picking up Way to Dawn.

what does ven this have to do with vanitas? well vanitas clearly wields a keyblade similar to way to dawn. i made this previous assumption before that vanitas' keyblade was once a weapon of darkness and evolved to the weapon we see now (only except obtaining way to dawn, he obtains a weapon that is both light and darkness).

Vanitas' Keyblade is much more similar to the Soul Eater than the Way to Dawn, for one thing. His Keyblade doesn't have a bit of light-sided stuff in it.

Plus Ven running to DS when he appeared from Xehanort was also a pretty strong hint of a former relationship.

sounds weak to me. what can you gather from that?

1. that he was in a hurry.

2.he was so angry.

3.he thought he could prove himself by beating them first

Eh, the gesture to me seems like the sort that Ven would run to a long-lost friend, and then Terra stops him because his efforts to bring Vanitas back are useless.

But yes, it is a very ambiguous portion of the trailer.

not really, it's so small, i bet no one counted it. that always happens when a battle appears. someone becomes hasty and tries to run for it. but kudos for trying

Not really...They look completely different.

I don't see the light aspect of the keyblade...Vanitas' keyblade looks like a "Hey, I'm a Badass who likes to lean on shelves and use the power of darkness on the weekends" typa keyblade...

I agree with ∞ on this one. It's much like how Sora ran forward to stop Riku at various points in the game? Not saying that this is the answer of course, but it seems like pretty similar behaviour.

they both have the center eye, only instead of WtD having partial darkness, this one seems to be all darkness. conceptually.

Sora ran forward to stop riku. Ven ran forward to stop DS and MX. again too small, aqua was second to join and terra was third. are we going to make theories off of that?

It's a response and a contribution to your thread. People make threads with all kinds of theories. Don't complain. Ven launched himself forward at either Vanitus or MX, and then Terra stopped him. Why Ven launched himself forward is uncertain, but if the Sora/Riku relationship is anything to go by, it could be that there's a friendship between them.

friendship is one, but i'm talking about the ekyblade connection. recently everyone's making theories off of it. i'm sure no one thought of this until one person mentions it and then the fire affect goes off simply by people acting like they already knew.


you could contribute, but your not really saying much. Sora/riku relationship of course can fit here now that we know they are or were friends, but back then, that was a little too early to tell simply by who wanted to fight first
