Riku Kingdom Hearts game or Kairi Kingdom Hearts game

I just don't see anything else about Riku that they'd need to explain that they haven't through the novels and such.

Mickey and Riku during KH1 is supposed to be explained in Coded, right?
And Days somewhat gives you a look to what he's doing in between CoM and KH2.
And the novels explain what he was doing during KH2.

Like, instead of saying the-keyblade-that-Riku-handed-Kairi, it'd be easier to say Kairi's Keyblade, even if it's not really hers.

No way of knowing if it became her's till the true nature of the Keyblade is revealed in BbS or KH3.

It would be awesome if a KH3 was like BBS in the sense that you can play as Sora, Riku AND Kairi like we'll be able to play as Terra, Ven, and Aqua. =3 A game about the characters is pointless, but a game where you can play as them would be pretty amazing.

I'd rather be able to play as Sora, Riku, Mickey, Donald & Goofy instead of only Sora, Riku and Kairi. Plus, I'm not very amused by Kairi's character. They may be able to save it in BbS and KHIII/Coded though. But I doubt it.

But yeah, a Kairi game right now would be pointless.

Having Riku and Kiari game would be cool,but what whould be better is in KH3 having all three worlking togeter.

They already explained that. He suspected she was a PoH and sent her out so he could find the Keyblade wielder through her.

It was also implied in the Days Ultimania that in BBS, we'll find out why Kairi can use the Keyblade.
It was said in the same sentence as how Roxas could Duel Wield, and that Kairi was mostly used to mislead, so I think we can all make the logical deduction out of that one 8D

It's not really Nomura's fault. The one that 'dictated' the name was the interviewer, not him. He just went along.

Yeah, only there's absolutely nothing indicating anything of that sort. The one that called forth the Keyblade was Riku. The only reason there was a tug-o-war in KH1 was because it was originally Riku's KK that Sora took. Unless they reveal that Riku at any point in time took the Keyblade from Kairi, it's his Keyblade. It all ties in far too well with him Duel Wielding, instead of trying to explain how Kairi got her paws on it.

The only reason why that would actually work is because it's on the PSP. A game that'll no doubt be for the main consoles would have to work like they did up to this point.
Not to mention the whole you know, oh, Kairi isn't a fighter. And odds are she'll be from kidnapped to protected in KH3. If hell doesn't freeze over and she's too busy actually playing along her role as a PoH to go running around after I mean with Sora.

Game about Riku? No. We pretty much know all there is to know about him through four games. He's like the organization likable but three to four games explaining them is enough. A Kairi game? Hmm, I'll buy then throw it into the pits of hell and laugh while it burned.

a riku game explaining the time of kh1 where he was with melificent and had the sould eater would be nice ! kairi game would be cool for a futureee(long future) if she ever gain a keyblade or if this floral keyblade is hers (cause i dont know yet)

Kairi kh would be awkward. she doesn't ever do anything throughout the entire series, in all 4 games released, and i doubt she'll appear much in bbs. she just waits around and someone saves her. not much point in a kairi kh.

riku kh wouldn't exactly fit either. i like how he always helps in the background, giving a kind of mystery about him, and at the same time, strength, because we see how he suffers through almost everything, and sora never does anything for him. him being in the background actually makes us understand him more, so a riku kh wouldn't have too much plot.

although i do agree that sora and roxas (and donald, goofy, Xion, and Axel) get too much screen time and all the glory. the riku in the background would have more fame, since he never sticks in your face, even if you want him to.

BBS is actually the game where Kairi has the highest chances of being mentioned, what with her being a PoH and BBS finally caring enough about the PoHs plot wise. Up until now she was used as a default yaoi shield for SoRiku and little more.

Not quite. I'd call him a lot less in the background and a lot more in the front lines with stories like KH2's where Riku was busy fighting the Org and what not, while Sora was cheering on Simba on while he fought scar.
Riku had plenty of insight in KH1, and was the one actually moving the plot. Sora was reacting to what Riku was doing with Maleficent.
CoM had Reverse Rebirth. Much more insight and attention given to Riku than Sora EVER got properly to himself as a character in the whole series.
And KH2, as before - he was involved a lot more in the true plot of it all, was the one that bothered with saving Kairi and Namine while Sora was still running around in circles around his lion tail, and the motivation behind Sora even going on that stupid journey all over again.
Riku had single handedly given us the plot for the first three games released with Days FINALLY beginning to break away from it, but only seemingly as there is enough to do with him in it as well, and possible complications with a lot of stuff one can conjure about him and Xion (and no, not only romance :P)
So, uh. Basically we already had a KH Riku, only we played it through Sora's POV. A Riku KH that had its own plot would be awesome, imo. Not that character insight was bad, but you get my point.

Sora, despite being the main character that gets all the screen time, is actually one of the most abused characters in the series. If they bother even giving him proper plot and development most often than not they'll try to cover it all up by pretending SoKai exists while failing. :\
Xion and Days' Axel are wonderful examples to how character development SHOULD be, but we only got to see anything close to it in CoM, and even then Sora forgot about all of it so what's the point :\
Riku on the other hand WAS stuck in our faces for Reverse Rebirth, which is what I wish they'd have done with Sora. You stick someone in our face? DO SOMETHING WITH HIM.

After playing Days, I'm all for a Riku game that takes place during Sora's sleep/events of KH2

how about a game which is, as much as i love him, completly nothing to do with sora, i mean days was about Roxas, but it was all about Sora's memories and connnexions and it would be refreshing to have one unrelated to that. I mean the most unrelated to all that is kingdom hearts 1, and noe everyone has to have a connection with everybody else. Or just have a game which actually centers round Sora.

So long as the current KH series is running, it will have to do with Sora in one way or another. KH is Sora's story.
