Well we don't know if he really took his heart. He could have just taken the contents or the darkness or whatever. It could also be as simple as what happened to Kairi in KH1. Besides it isn't even confirmed that it MX took anything from Ven, and it looks more like MX's keyblade turned into the orb. So if anything I'd say it's both or just the keyblade.

However it is the split second in which you see MX holding a heart before the orb that makes the Ven's heart thing possible.

Well, I know you've seen the video. He takes Ven by the head, presumably sucks his heart out, and let's him drop. That same hand holds the darkness, and you can see the heart shape in his hand before turning into the orb and flying up to form/add onto Kingdom Hearts.

He does in fact do it with one hand behind his back.

I'm watching that part now. All I see is that with his right hand he holds Ven up and sucks whatever out, but I can not find a part where you see if anything is even in his right hand after he drops Ven. Then when his keyblade turns into the orb in his left hand the right one is already behind his back.

Seem to be connect with the keyblade. He held Ven with his right hand when the "sucking" occurred.
Them summons the orb with his left hand. Doesn't add up. You'd think he'd hold up the same hand he'd use to absorb.

I apologize for that, but it was very clear in my head a memory seeing MX holding a heart before the orb. I'll have to look into it, but I'll withdraw that theory until anything comes up.

I do find it odd though that he switches hands.

And for the sucking, what it is is that before MX freezes Ven there's a blast of darkness or dark energy on and around Ven. That is when the presumed sucking would take place.

That part interests me as darkness has previously been shown as purple and black, but this was more in line with nobody colors of greyish white and black.
