Default Question about Saïx
has his name been officially changed from Sa ïx (with an i with an umlaut a.k.a. those two little dots) to Saix? or do the Japanese not use the umlaut at all and thats why on the Days official site his name is spelled "Saix"?

I'm not sure, but it might just be a pronunciation thing. Saix' name is pronounced a certain way in English, so the accent mark is placed there as an indicator. We'll know for sure when either the NA website updates with Character Profiles or when the English game actually comes out.

That's also how they spell it in the opening sequence. Looks like they're dropping the umlaut, intentionally or accidentally. Or did we add it in the English version?

thats actually what made me ask the question, because you would think that of all places, it would be right in the opening movie.

i guess somebody would have to look up an old Japanese cutscene/scan and see how its spelled there.

the " ï " is an accent so Im guessing theirs two i's instead of 1
it makes sense because of the two dots on it...
"Sai-ix" is how you pronounce it like "Sai-Axe"

Without the umlaut, Saïx would be pronounced differently. (Say-ikes I believe? Or say it like sakes. Sounds gay IMO -_-;)
