im only getting a DSi if my parents decide to get me one and give the old DS to my little bro. its a nice trade off imo lol.

I didn't spend 180 bucks to never use the damn thing!! I have a DS lite and a DSi one I use to pirate stuff and the other(DSi) I can't use yet cause I'm not buying another flash card. So they better make something DSi exclusive or I'm selling it.

For example, super-dedicated Pokemon players get two or DS's and the two or more versions of the current generation, therefore they don't need to rely on other people to get them all the Pokemon.

They can definitely do things on a DSi that simply aren't possible on the older models.

It would make sense that a more powerful console would have its own library of games, but so far I don't think there's been any confirmation of cartridge games for the DSi.

This has backwards compatability anyway. It can play DS games, unfortunately it can't play GBA games, but there are downloadable versions of them to install on the DSi. This is pretty much a DS2 anyway.
