it's only a question . if there is seven princess of light ,it should be a princess of dark too one princess right ?
and if there is one then what she can open .will what i know is that the seven princessess can open the door of darkness or something like that ;P

Well, it's not like theres some alternate "universe" in the dark realm or anything so I wont say that it HAs to be 7 princesses ofdarkness just because there are 7 princesses of light.

I'm one of the people that support the notion of there being Beings with Hearts of Pure Darkness.
They'd hardly have to be of royalty (Alice, Kairi, Belle until she actually marries the Beast), and until proved beyond the shadow of a doubt which I doubt would happen - don't have to be of the same gender.
Think about it - Maleficent said herself that they called them the PoHs, not that that's the 'universal term'. The name might've just came from 7/7 of the current BWHoPL being females, and 4/7 of them being of true royal blood (Aurora, Cinderella at the time of KH1 [seeing how her story, if told at all in the KH series, took place in BBS, thus making her a true princess by marriage by KH1], Snow White, and Jasmine). We don't know if that's the cosmic requirements for the 7 to open the DtL, and should they truly have "matches" of Darkness - the same would apply to them.

Being a princess of heart/light, doesn't mean that you are literally a princess. Just look at Alice. So it doesn't have to be a Queen of light, King of light, Prince of light etc.

And why Maleficent?

technically if by what you say if ther is a queen of light , then who is the king of light, and if you are going by that principal then who are the princesses of darkness (if so and they actually exist can thier combined hearts open the door to light?
as tje 7 PoHopened the DtD?). therefore who is the queen and king of darkness? (although it has never been said who the king and queen of light are...) (just as a note...im trying not to introduce the concept of family as it is irrelevant in the world of kh seeings how somebody will try to relate it to that)...im ready for you to gas up your flame throwers and load up your shotguns as im ready to be shot down because i am most likely wrong in some way...it never fails.....im just using the theoretical response as it were to be light/dark bad/good hot/cold on/off.....that sort of thing as in most things in life have an opposite including colors.....just a thought....what if..when the 7 PoH opened the DtD done by maleficent....if thats how xion was made.....once again shoot me down with all your might im ready for it :D

Light is made of all colors in the spectrum. It's hardly just the seven that kids' books use to draw a rainbow.
And you're talking natural Light. That's hardly the case here, and that's before going into the issue that the Princesses are sharing colors.
Had they wanted to go for that, I think they'd have gone on character models that showed it.

The Darkness doesn't have to be evil/bad. Thus, logic would have it that the Light doesn't have to be righteous/Good.

I was unable to make any sense of that theory. How would Xion have been made when the DtD was open? Also, darkness is not evil/bad. Sora and co. even say as much at the Altar of Naught at the end of KH2- along with the entirety of CoM/RR, as stated by SA.

Also, I wouldn't put it past Nomura and his team to put 7 Beings with Hearts of Pure Darkness (sheesh, what a mouthful) into the games at some point. They've made both PoHs, and BWHoPLs, and while some of the latter two might go into the same category, there is a reason for their differences in names. This leads me to believe that not of all of the BWHoPLs are actually female, and that they aren't just 7 or even needed to open the DtD.

So, because of this, there is a certain part of me that leans towards the idea that there might be 7 or so Princesses of Darkness, or Beings With Hearts of Pure Darkness. However, what makes me cautious of this is that there has been no sign of these beings, and, if they did exist, what would their purpose be? And, if they did exist at one point, why are they gone now, and how did they disappear?

1) They were tied to the Unbirths and died along with them.
2) Nobodies were all but nonexistent in KH1 aside from the Unknown we didn't know was a Nobody in the FM, but they were still around. They could pull out Maleficent being one of those Beings or something and then go "see? They were there all along!", much like I suspect they'll do about Unbirths and LS.
Them not being around is hardly a reason to say they don't exist in the KH universe; it means just that - we didn't get to see them yet.

That is one possibility and, if they go down that route, I will be disappointed, because, now that you mention it, it would be the most obvious way to tie it in all together in one neat little package.

Or maybe that's simply because you mentioned it, and I'm just really oblivious sometimes. In which case, I will still feel disappointed, because that's knowing the plot before playing the game.

Then nomura should really make this game awesome, expect the unexpected i hear.I think(no offense) that we cant guess correctly how unirths are created until the game is released or Nomura is gonna spoil it for us. ^___^

Noobs are getting less and less original, that's the problem.

But if There are BwHoPD, then they would have to have extremely strong hearts in order for the Darkness not to swallow it up.
