My little theory is that however he was erased, a mistake occured and that lead up to hiom reappearing ten years later, as Roxas, except Roxas has no memories of his past, what so ever. The reason why I think this happened was because Aqua was hesitant, even if she knew that there was an issue going on with Ven and it could potentially be dangerous to all three of them. (I'm thinking that maybe Ven wanted to be erased because he knew something was wrong with him and either thought or knew that it was going to be a hazard to his friends, Aqua and Terra.)

I don't think he is erased. He appears at the end soooo.... unless the Destiny Islands scene is after the KH2 FM+ Secret ending
