To be fair, he didn't do it willingly with Leon, only with Jack. That only tells us that Riku had a better control over his Keyblade when he lent it to Kairi than Sora did... right after he got his Keyblade.

they both look almost exactly alike. nobody keyblade resembling roxas and the one that ven wields.
