I think it's more a concept that Nomura used to try to show us the relationship between SRM and TAV.

I don't see a lot of importance in the design except that they're similar to SRM's, in which a connection in some way is already clear.

If you're talking about their actual gameplay keyblades, I'd say that lots of keyblades look similar to each other. And maybe Nomura is trying to give us clues or being lazy, but I still don't think it holds any importance. It might after we finish the game and understand the relationship between all the keyblade wielders.

First off, the things you used for evidence aren't even really true.
As others said,the only similarity between modern day keyblades and the past ones are the KK and Ven's.

And when asked to explain you just shrug it off and say forget it.

i didnt understand what he asid,

also this a theory, very much like the one you just mentioned, so you are saying vens and KK?

i notice Ven's has darkness and a little bit off light theme going on, i didnt count it as KK just because of the little piece of handle. it was more a WtD theme.

as for aqua's keyblade it looked very similar to KK, the teeth of the blade resembled alot like KKs.

the inner part handle (the metal thing holding the grip) of terra's looked alot like KKs outer handle.

Which by using that as example, you're saying your theory fails as well.

The only resemblance between Aqua's Keyblade and the KK is the general crown form. The crowns are nothing alike though.
