Your logic doesn't make sense; If he were truely immersed in darkness, he would be trying to convince one of VAT to embrace it, not deny it. Think about it: If you were him, wouldn't you want a powerful keyblade weilder such as Terra on your side.

Other than his voice (Curse you, Epcar....), I don't really find anything particularly bad about Dr. Xehanort.

My logic makes perfect sense if you think of it this way.

Maybe MX thinks that Darkness was the wrong path to choose, had a change of heart, and dosen't want Terra to make the same mistake he did in choosing that path. Hince "Correct my Mistake"

It was most likely the other way around; MX turned to darkness, realized his mistake, warned Terra while he still could, and eventually became completely evil.

We don't know who he is talking to nor do we know who he is talking about...
Let's say he was talking about Terra... Should MX be the one that gave Terra the power of darkness, then MX could simply be telling who ever he is speaking to to defeat the darkness he gave Terra and correct his mistake of giving it to him...

Sure, nothing's confirmed, but logic does point MX to being apart of him...

Should MX have given him that power, then I could see where MX would want that corrected, seeing as how Terra still fights him...

Hmm, I never really thought about that. I always thought his reason for "Defeating the Darkness and correcting his mistake." was either meant to encourage (or deceive) Aqua and Ven to take on Terra and correct MX's mistake, but them again, he could be telling this to DS and sending him out to take down Terra since Terra is using the Darkness to combat MX.
