Their keyblades, I mean, and the fact that they don't have keychains.

Then it would be a logical extension to say that either:

The "fakes" in Sunset Horizons are also "handicapped".
OR
TAV are using fakes
OR
There are 2 kinds of Keychain-less blades, with the more "primitive (for lack of a better word)" ones that TAV used are just like training wheels.

I mostly agree with both 1 to some extent and 3.

If, in fact, you assume both the "handicap" theory and number 1.

Though, personally, I believe the reason why they don't have keychains is because their "spirits" are still being refined by their Masters, and once they've completed apprenticeship they make their own keychain, one that is unique to their own soul, and thus has the most power, since it's abilities have been drawn out from their own experience and knowledge.

At about :05, you see a keychain on the Keyblade. It wouldn't make sense for her to be at MRS rank, because she isn't even a Keyblade master in the first place!

Except for the fact that Mickey can summon the Star Seeker... and it is actually his Keyblade as outlined by Nomura.

Not to mention Kairi isn't even a Keyblade master of any sort. That is Riku's Keyblade after all.

I like this. It also makes sense with how Keychains can supposedly be made from memories.

i think the whole kairi gets keyblade was a huge stuff up on noruma's part. it was probably put in to make kairi look cooler. but didnt think of a way to explain it.

and so he made the dodgy its riku's keyblade back story.

Nojima was the one who wrote that...
And it isn't even that dodgy. It makes way more sense for it to be Riku's Keyblade than it would be to think Kairi could ever actually be a Keyblade Master.

i would think kairi is a PoH so thats y she is able to wield. her heart is strong enotpgh and i would think any keyblade can choose her.

Too bad that is not the case because the Keyblade is smart enough to know that she is worthless. :3

To the Keyblade, it was for Riku not Kairi. She isn't a chosen wielder in any way. She is barely a wielder period.
